I have a 2001 Acura CL Type S, just recently I have been having the problem of the Center console hatch/lid keeps opening. If you aren't sure what I am refering to, its the middle part that's used to store various items. Anyways, it seems like its not catching the hook into the hole. I tightened all the screws on the lid, but nothing has worked so far. Any other ideas?

 

Carefully bend the tab on the underside to allow it to catch better. Don't need much. Many have had this happen & that's the easiest thing to do.

 

If that doesnt work replace the latch piece. Its not that expensive to buy new.
