Confused...CAI air by pass...where does it go?

Confused...CAI air by pass...where does it go?
I just installed an AEM CAI in my 02 CL-S...but where does the bypass go? I left it out cuz i didn't want to break anything.

Take a look at the 2/24/06 post by silver_streak titled aem intake. There is a very good picture of the bypass in that series of posts.
