Clutch going bad?

I think i just felt this clutch starting to slip right around 3k rpms pushed down the gas and nothing happend. The engine sounded like it was trying to accelerate but wouldnt does that mean its starting to slip? Car has 206k and im pretty sure its the oem clutch, i occasionally like to do a pull getting on the freeway like most of us do haha but other than that i am not a hard driver. Right now i have noticed no burning smell and it shifts and goes into gear like it should when taking it easy, clutch doesnt feel too spongy engages about half way up but the loss of the power has me thinking its time for a replacement. Let me know what you guys think it could be

Thanks

what gear did that happen in?
generally, clutches will slip in higher gears, particularly 5th and 6th

but yes, RPM's increasing while speed staying the same almost equals a slip

shop called me said the cat was clogged up which explains why it would bog down under load but never threw a CEL. there going to keep it over night just to do some more diagnostics glad I only have to spend a few hundred this time and not a thousand

picking up the car later this evening, Im a noob to think it was a clutch problem. they guy said after the back pressure test it was reading 10 to 15psi in back pressure. I guess this thread has nothing to do with clutch now oh well live and learn

should have just thrown an magnaflow cat on, would have been a ton cheaper. Unless they do the sniffer emissions test where you are.
