I have been having some problems with my cl misfiring CEL is on i have changed the spark plugs and coils cleaned the egr but nothing seems to work the CEL comes on every 2 weeks or so cold starts not while running and gives me misfiring codes it does not seem to misfire when it warms up i dont understand what it could be any help would be helpful ..what step should i take next ?

Does it run any differently?

Another member and myself occasionally get a misfire code on cold starts. The car runs no differently, though it shows misfires on all cylinders. Im tired of looking through possible causes, so I dont bother. I just clear it and it goes away for another month or so.

 

yes only when its cold i feel a hesitation, but when it warms up it drives fine. i changed all six coils 45$ each and all six spark plugs thinking that was the issue. 2 weeks later codes pop up. i have had the car for almost 3 years the problem just started 2 months back. should i change the fuel injectors? my mechanic told me to take it to the dealer so they can diagnose and tell me exactly the problem(do they have a special tool?).. They are charging me 125$ is it worth it? or should i just change the injectors hope to fix the problem? thanks!

 

the dealer can only read the code same as anyone with a scanner. The manual will show what are the possible causes of each code though, no?

 

So i just got back from the dealer and they cleaned out my port clyinder head, they said that was the problem. I really don't think that's the problem. I just have to wait it out to see if the engine light comes back on. let's hope not.. thanks for the help!
