I'm new to the board and love all the good information. Just bought 02 CL type S, 79k miles, no nav. Is the clock display suppose to light?

yes- at night time- with lighting turned on of course- but there is a bulb
for it- go to osram.com for the bulb chart- enter your vehicle- its a tiny bulb- dont recall the number.. the entire unit pops out. but before you try popping it- get exact procedure to avoid damaging it. hope this helps

Try banging on it with your fist. Sometimes you can get the filiment to touch and it will light up again. Replacing the bulb isnt too bad if your handy.
