so about a week ago my check engine light came on right after i lost my gas cap.. i got a new cap still stood on.. today it was raining extremely hard in so cal area.. car was running fine. went to the movies came out it was clear and not raining.. jumped in my car and my vsa light is stuck on and as soon as i can accelerate up to 20mph my car shuts off.. idk what to do or what to check.. im not a motor guy just suspension.. but if anyone has had the same problem let me know what parts or components it could be and how much the parts are.. id really appricate it..

 

Pull the CEL code and see what it says

 

how do i do that.. haha im a noob..

 

take it to a auto parts store and tell them to see if they can pull the codes for you. they'll use a code scanner.

or your nearest aamco or pep boys will do the same if the auto stores wont do it. the auto stores here wont so I go to those 2 other places.

 

FIXED IT! it was the main relay.. wooooo 70 dollars and im good to go!
