ok soo i was wondering if anyone else has this problem... my passenger heated seat went out... the switch light works and everything but doesnt get hot.. does anyone know whats going on?

 

Yeah just happened to my passenger seat last week. This is a very common problem with our cars and the TL's. I was able to fix it following the "3$ seat heater fix" thread from the TL forum. Search for it. I had the same problem as you, lights on the switch but no heat. The problem is under your leather seat.

You have to fully disassemble the seat and remove the leather. Then you will see the heater pad and most likely 2 burnt wires. Cut them out and solder in new wire and reassemble.
Sounds pretty easy but was actually a real pain in the ass when putting the leather back on. Took me maybe 3 to 4 hours total. But it was worth it considering the dealer charges $400. I did take pics along the way. Let me know if you run into any problems if you decide to tackle this yourself.
