Car wouldn't start

Fixed the problem with the TL now the CL is having a problem.

My Mom has a 2001 Acura CL Type S with 140k on it. Yesterday she came home from work and about 10 minutes later she went to go out and the car would not start. It sounded like it wanted to start but wouldn't. The radio and AC came on high and the horn sounded loud. The Lights looked bright.

I let the car sit for about 30 minutes and went to start it and then it started right up. This happened once or twice before.

No check engine light on.

Her car seemed to idle about 500RPM and when I gave it a little gas and took foot off pedal the RPM went down to about 250 or lower RPM and then back to 500 RPM.

Any ideas on what to check? Safe to drive the car or is there a real risk of getting stuck?

Also when idling and you remove your foot from the gas pedal it does sound like it is going to stall, but it doesn't.

I just looked in the CL FAQ and found no pertinent information...I'm having this identical problem. can anyone else chime in with some information related to this?

i have the same problem. usually occurs when car is baking in the sun. i believe i read somewhere that this was an issue with the fuel relay? or something of that name i could be wrong. if you find a fix let me know because i worry sometimes when i park in the sun for a long period.

Main relay. Known issue. Get a new one or resolder yours.
