Car remote only unlocks but doesn't lock

I just bought a '97 Acrua CL, everything in it looks good and is functioning but it seems my car remote is broken?

It unlocks the car just fine, it just won't LOCK. It also won't pop the trunk which isn't a big deal but reguardless it's NOT WORKING. Is it just the remote that's faulty, meaning I just get a new remote? Or is it just the whole locking system thats screwed up meaning I actually have to get it fixed at the dealership? Any help would be GREEEEAAAT

If you can lock and unlock the car with the switches inside but only the remote wont lock the car then i would assume the remote is messed up? FCC ID# on the back of the remote should say A269ZUA108. If your FCC is different then u have the wrong remote for the car. You can get a new remote for $40.91 + shipping. Our dealer does not charge anything to program a remote like this cause it only takes a few minutes. Just need car with remote and all other remote's for the car if any. Hope this Helps
