If it is humming for a short period as soon as you turn the key and crank....it is your fuel pump priming. And then the other humming noises you will hear are the ABS modulators.

can you determine where the humming is coming from? Maybe a loose belt?

Could also be the dreaded Power steering whine/humm that some of us members experience.

Do you still have your stock airbox? If so did you do anything to it recently? Last year when I put a K&N filter in my airbox, I broke off the 2 pieces on the bottom part of the airbox that locks the top. And when that happened, it never got a good seal and it hummed like crazy.

Thats the only thing I can think off for the type of humming you are describing. Its a constant loud humming coming from the engine and thats exactly what I had so thats my

Then I guarantee that its your airbox, thats exactly what happened to me.

Your gonna want to replace the bottom part of the airbox. Heres a link to buy it

Its only about $40 and should'nt take you too long to swap

EDIT: Just to confirm that it is the airbox, start your car and while its running press down on the airbox in different directions. If the sounds muffles when you press down on it then its your airbox.

Good Luck

Your Welcome Dude . Id say go for the intake and just look for an airbox on the Black Market and save yourself some money, ive seen a couple of guys sell their stock airboxes before. Cuz your most likely gonna wanna sell the car as stock as possible, so you'd have to replace the bottom part of the airbox
