Bulb or Invertor or ?

Hey guys, my passenger side headlight isn't coming on. It doesn't appear to flash or flicker at all. I've searched on the site and found quite a few threads about this issue, but also found a lot of conflicting info. Can anyone with some knowledge about this (I don't have any!) please tell me if this sounds like just the bulb or something else? Thanks for any info.

Well, it has happened to me also.......my passenger lowbeam (xenon) light went out allof a sudden.......It was already turning purplish, and I have heard theat this is a sign of a bulb burning out. Like I said, it went all of a sudden, no flashing and no flickering.

It was my lowbeam also. Did you replace the bulb yourself? Do you remember how much that cost? I've only had my car a few months and this is my first car with the Xenon bulbs.

Well, I cant say that I did it myself. My freind owns a body shop, and I get all of my labor done for free, all I pay for is parts. get your HID's off of EBAY.

Easiest way to test is swap the bulb from the other side.

Thanks for the advice. If it is indeed the bulb I will buy off of Ebay. What do you consider a fair price for a bulb or pair of bulbs? Is it best to stick with the stock wattage bulbs, or do most of you guys upgrade? Thanks again for any advice.

I myself went with the 6000K bulbs...........give off a nice blue hue at might time! especially when heated to full temp. Go for those, and you wont be disappointed.

From what I've read on here the 6000K bulbs seem to be the best overall.

My passenger side low lamp is out intermittently. Do the lamp receptacles turn and remove from inside the engine compartment behind the light assemblies? And do the bulbs pull out of the receptacles or what? Thx for any info.

I wish I knew the answer, but I've only had my car a couple of months and I'm not very mechanically inclined. If anyone has more info please let us know.

Update

I was due for an oil change so I took the car to the dealer last week and asked them to look at the headlight problem. The bulb was fine but the fuse was blown. They said it kept blowing fuses when they replaced them. It turns out the inverter was bad. Somehow moisture had killed it. Luckily it was covered under warranty, but that would have been a little over $500 repair if not.
