Brake Light stays on

Happy New Year to All.

Still new to the site. I want to be more active on Acurazine for 2006 and beyond...Anyways I have a 01' CL- S When I start the car in the morning the brake light stays on for a long period of time then goes out. The brake fluid and brakes on the car are fine besides a little warp in the rotors. Do you think this is due to the E-brake switch or should i have the brakes checked? Does anyone encounter the same problem?

Try a search. The sensor is a common culprit.

Brake Light

Hello,
I am sure you have all gotten your problems solved by now, but just in case what cases that is a faulty screen in the master cylinder. If the screen is not working properly and letting the fluid through like it should the car thinks the fluid is low and trips the light.

How or can you change this screen easily?

I am not really sure how long it takes to be honest. It cost me 80 bucks to have them do it at the dealership. it was only like a 10 dollar part and the rest was labor.

While the light is on, go tap on the brake fluid reservoir cap, and see if it goes off. Rules that out.
