Bose radio and navi not turning on
Hello everyone, I am having a problem with my radio and navi screen. They are both off and will not turn on. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? is it possibly a fuse...

Just checked the fuses on the passenger side of dash and all are not blown. I also disconnected my battery and reconnected to maybe reset but still the navi screen and radio are not turning on...

yea the owners manuel says the radio and navi fuses are on the passenger i forget the exact number spots but i checked them, and they are fine. I really have no idea what could cause this...

the only thing I am doing is I have to put a pen in the little hole next to the shifter to get the car into park and out of park I also dont know whats going on with that. I really doubt there is any wires i am hitting while doing this...what connectors should I check any panel removing.

replace the navi/radio fuses anyways. Sometimes they blow in a way you cant really see or check the fuse with a volt meter.
your shift lock is mechanical, nothing eletrical there. as for that problem, you might need a new brake switch or check your brake lights and see if they come on.
very weird that both the navi and the radio went out. any other problems? heated seats still light up?

my brake lights do come on when I brake. does that eliminate the need for a new brake switch? if I do need one can i replace it? I replaced my window rail and regulator and my trunk motor latch do these compare in labor? About the radio and navi, no there is no other problems occuring, and yes the seat heaters work and the light lights up on the switches...

also I had my subwoofer amp taken out of the car for a day with the power ground and remote turn on exposed, the possibly touched because the fuse on the sub power wire was blown but what would this have to do with the factory unit not working?

assuming you disconnected the amp from the speakers/radio then it shouldnt have interfered with anything. not sure if you wired your turn-on wire to turn on with the radio but that could have something to do with it. The radio and navi does share some wiring.

As far as your shift stock, you may want to check the fuse box under the hood, I belive it says on it something like "Horn Stop" it is 20A I believe you want to replace that. That happen to me before. I hope that helps.
