Blown Transmission = 14 hour long day
Heading up to NorCal and everything was all good, all ready for the 350 mile trip up. Me, my friend, my ex and her roommate, trunk full of bags. Coming down from the Angeles Crest my RPM's shoot up to 5k from 2k and my car slams its brakes... I was like what the fuck... I didn't even touch nething... This comes on randomly for the next hour. Finally I was like alright I don't wanna drive with my car like this nemore, so I pull off to the side and let it cool down. After an hour we start driving again and it was all good, then it comes on again. I was like fuck this and pulled off at a Denny's left my 3 friends there after an hour of deciding what was going to happen and finding another friend to come up from LA to pick them up and head up to NorCal. I start driving back down the 200 mile stretch home driving at 70 cruise controlled and the jolt came back but this time it revved up to 7k slammed the brakes revved up to 5k slammed the brakes then revved up to 7k and locked itself in 3rd gear. Called Acura Care and I ended up paying $420 to get my car towed while waiting for the tow truck in the blazing desert sun in the middle of nowhere for 2 hours when they said they'd be there in an hour. Sat in the tow truck for another 4 hours just to get to the dealer to drop it off and ended up walking 8 miles home cuz everybody was too busy or out of town. Fuck today.

Got to the dealer too late and they were already closed. Plus I'm only 18 so they wouldn't give me one but I finally have a silver TSX sitting on my driveway. Rides real light feels pretty agile but I still miss my CL-S...

Nope what you were experiencing was the dreaded downshift to 2nd gear. Lucky it didn't lock down on you! The oil jet kit recall would have prevented that, but now you're getting a new transmission and they have the kits built in.

They DID replace the transmission, correct?
I think there's something fishy about paying for broken motor mounts after a transmission repeatedly downshifts forcibly. That probably destroys the mounts and that should be just part of the tranny replacement.
