amp sub ?????

Ok so I hooked up my sub and amp last night.. I followed these instructions..
http://silverknight.clickhere2.net/sound.html
So Im thinking everything is good.. No issues no blown fuses.. So I trun the radio on and the sub isntworking, but I see the amp is getting power..
So I go to unplug the Audio jacks thinking maybe they were ass backwards, well when I pull one out the sub starts working,

So my set up is like one audio wire for the Left or right works but when i put the left and right in together it doesnt work so much...

Any help or anyone had this issue before.. I am sure its nothing new to you vets.....

Thanks in advance

do you have the signal wires to the back of the stereo or did you use one of those in line splices off the speaker wires

Maybe you should post in the A/V section, like I said earlier.

anytime i've tried to wire in that way i've had the same problem and never been able to figure out why. You have two choices... just leave one side plugged in and let it be or run the a/v cable to the head unit, if you have the factory head unit just leave one side plugged in and let it be. It's never actually given me any problems having it that way. sorry if i really wasn't any help.

I feel that the problem is fixed. I had the wires from the sub to the AMP going from a POS+ on the left and the NEG- of the right, i see that the amp is able to handle two subs independant with a bridge. Since I have only one sub I believe this to be OKAY...It works just wanted to make sure I was getting the power and what not it rightfully deserved.. No need to waste.. esp. bump..

Subs are mono, it doesn't matter if you have one or both hooked up.

Just for future reference, the A/V forum is here:

https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/

Not many people browse the "problems and fixes" forum everyday, but the audio/video forum is where the tech geeks hang out
