Aftermarket HID Bulbs Flickering Out??? Help!

Recently I bought some aftermarket D2R 6k replacement bulbs since the ones currently on the car were 2 different colors...(Previous owner had 1 bulb go out and when she bought a new replacement one from the dealer it doesn't match exactly). Other than the color difference I never had an issue with the headlights. Now I installed these aftermarket ones and they look amazing for about 30 seconds and then they flicker off...then if I turn them off and back on they do the same thing. Any ideas???

Where has everyone gotten their HID bulbs from????

Check the 20A fuse. If fuse is OK, then it could be your ballast. Replace the bulbs in pairs. Philips D2R is what Acura uses in their cars. I don't trust any other brands.

I bought my HID bulbs & ballast from www.theretrofitsource.com

Thanks for the tip...it can't be the fuse since they turn back on right away and the stock ones don't do it....to me it must be the bulbs, but I'll keep checking....I wish I had a test ballast to try.

If your bulb is flickering on and off, then it's not the bulb. It's going to be the ballast. WHen a bulb goes bad it dead. I had the same issue and the ballast was changed out under warranty.
