ABS light

The ABS light on my 99 3.0 CL is on.

The dealer quoted $1,300

I've heard that new tires could cause the problem.

Does anyone have any insight?

$1300 to do what?

Don't know why new tires would cause the ABS light to come on.

The dealer says it's the rear wheel speed sensor and the sending unit. $1,300 to fix both.

Cost $48 for the diagnostic.

rear wheel speed sensors $633

ABS control unit $626
