Kind of scratching my head at this one, first times its happened .. but I was merging onto the highway and dropped car from 3rd to 2nd, around 45mph and went WOT. Was around 5500-5800rpm.

VTEC engaged then at ~6500 car seemed like it hit what I can only describe as fuel cut?

Is this a safety measure, bad plugs, imagining things, sea monster ???
