Automatic.5speed. I was at a stop when I put car in gear and gave gas it sounded like something snapped and I got no movement. The stick was sticking in gears and not wanting to switch to neutral/park but did after so jiggling. When my car was in gear it sounded as though a loose cable or something was hitting bottom of car every rotation. Even when I had it in neutral, [pushing car up to house], it was making strange noise front underside with some grind noises and clicking! Strange stuff that made me think it wasn't the transmission.. if anyone has any ideas or questions to help problem solve? It would be appreciated!!

 

Did you look at the axle

 

I'd bet money on what he found when he did.

 

car does not have U joints, it has CV jointed half shafts and you snapped one.
