2001 CL-S pressure switch replacement
Hello fellow Acura owners, I recently purchased a 2001 cl-s with 88000 km's (54000 miles) in excellent shape.
I wasn't aware of the potential trans. problems and am a little concerned, I believe that my trans has been replaced as there is "blue bolts" on it and the "jet oiler" kit in it.
I have done a 3x3 DW-1 fluid change , a external filter change and am going to change the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches as preventative maintenance
My question is, the pressure switches are 28600-P7Z-003 and 28600-P7W-003-- but instead of the P7W-003 the dealer gave me a different one he said was the replacement for it, it is a 28600-RKE-004.
Should this be a issue ?
Also, are there any of these vehicles made that didn' t have trans problems ?

no, it shouldn't be an issue. A lot of times dealers make revised versions of parts likely to fix pre-existing issues with older designed parts. as long as the dealer said it was an updated part with some sort of supersession, i would think it was good. And no, I think all of them had trans problems. its all just a matter of time.

The only one without transmission problems is the 03 CLS 6 MT.
Virtually all of the autos are ticking time bombs no matter what you have done or how much preventative maintenance performed. The auto will still fail in due time.
The best option is swapping the old auto out for an AV6 transmission from an 06-07 V6 Accord.
