Pressure switch question

After doing my research on preventive care for the 2006 TL tranny. I want to know if when you change the third and fourth gear pressure switches do you also have to change the tranny fluid as well?? Reason why I ask is that I just changed my tranny fluid around 4000 miles ago and I know it's not good to change transmission fluid too soon.

It's not necessary as you hardly lose any fluid when changing those switches. Just my !

QFT

You only lose a few drops of ATF, which is negligible.

You don't, but if you don't have either Honda DW-1 or Redline D4 currently in your transmission you should be making the switch. Much bigger improvement for me than the switches were.

I had the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches changed out on my 08. I can honestly say I didn't notice a difference in shifting.

I ran DW-1 in it. Some report that they got very smooth shifting with Redline D4, but I never tried it. There's a huge thread on transmission fluid floating around somewhere here in the 3G forum.

I recently got rid of the Dextron III with Lubegard Honda additive the builder used in my transmission when they did a full master kit rebuild on it using Honda DW1 3 x 3 which made a noticeable improvement. Just finished a 3 x 3 (over a few week period) with Redlline D4 and it has taken shifts to a new level. Well worth the time and minimal investment.

You don't have to but a drain and fill is so easy, you may as well since you're under there.
