I have a light on in my dash "BRAKE" does anyone know why this is?

 

Handbrake is on or your brake fluid is low.

 

yea luckily all i had to do was refill my brake fluid and the light has stayed off.

 

^ you need to check your brakes and make sure it's not time to change them. also check for LEAKS as even when brakes are worn down, they should never trip the brake light. I have had my car close to 9 years and even when the pads are all the way down, no brake light but the fluid was near the MIN mark.

true. mine only came on when it was cold. (when i got off work at 4am) but refilling the brake fluid solved the problem, hasn't came on since. Does anyone know a way to see if the timing belt etc. was ever done without service history?

 

I need to know if my 99 Acura Cl 3.0 has Parking Brake Shoes or Emergency Parking Brakes shoes cause I have been looking on line to replace them and I can't find it. I pull the Parking Brake Please help!!!!

I need to know if my 99 Acura Cl 3.0 has Parking Brake Shoes or Emergency Parking Brakes shoes cause I have been looking on line to replace them and I can't find it. I pull the Parking Brake handle back and it goes up all the way on a hill or in a parking stop and still moves. Please help!!!!
