03 CL Type-S 6 sp clutch problem: 67K odo.
Thanks for reading this.
I have a strange problem. Take the engine revs to >3500, disengage clutch, change up a gear and the pedal seems to hesitate or even stick a little when lifting to re-engage. This is through each gear and to the point where the higher the revs, the less likely I can get the gear collars to mesh! After this happens, I can run it at "normal" RPM and it reverts back to normal behavior. Also disengaging and then re-engaging a once or twice at cruising RPM (c. 2-3K) not changing gear and it revertsback to normal. I have noticed that it seems engaging gears at any time encounters just the slightest bit more resitance. Also, when on flat surface, in 1st and pedal depressed, there is no creep or drop in RPM. So clutch not binding...
This behavior puzzles the heck out of me and is, regardless, becoming more and more pronounced. Therefore a catastrophic failure looks set to occur!
Any ideas on the cause and remedy would be gratfully welcomed.
Thank you very much!

You may just be feeling the dual mass flywheel design. This car is a little different then most.
The rpm's actually bump up a tad while shifting gears then settle back down.
This sort of action is normal.
Not sure if that is what your talking about however.

It sounds as though he is having difficulty engaging gears at higher rpms, which makes me think syncros. But thats why I asked if he's got any grinds or other odd noises.
Thanks for the replies: the problem is that the pedal feels like it's got no return pressure when engaging the clutch after high rev (4500-5000 rpm) gear change. Under moderate acceleration this doesn't happen! It's like the fork is sticking or something. But, again, ONLY after a high rev gear change.
