Update pt. 2....

If yall remember I posted a thread about this time last year with my stereo upgrade

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-photograph-gallery-53/its-been-while-small-updated-pics-56k-no-492674/

Well it's finally finished!!!

Here's what I ended up with:

Stereo

- From the link I had the W-205, I have since upgraded to the W-505 (WAY better deck) with the same Blackbird PMB-200

- PXA H701 (multimedia manager)
- RUX C701
- Apline PDX-5
- Infinity Kappa Perfect Front Components
- Infinity Kappa 6x9
- Infinity Basslink (Might upgrade to JL W3 or W6 in the future)

Other

-Tein Basic
- Smoked white part of the tails
- Had to add the license plates (Damn LA)
- 08 TL base wheels

Here are the pics. Enjoy!

Yes that is Jessica Alba's Ass

I'm glad to see that the AC controls fit down into the mid console area. I didn't know what the dimensions of the unit were and if it would fit or not. good to know.

I wanted a scene with Alba in a bikini, I just so happened to land on that one

LIPSTUH did the work on the AC bezel. You basically have to cut the AC portion of the original non-navi dash as small as you can.

Thanks. I've always been a fan of stock TL wheels. I had the 03 TL-S, 04-06 Base TL, and now the 08's. I had 19's back in the day but LA pot holes are preventing me from upgrading again.

That sub is nice, you can actually use your trunk too!

What happened to your fog light inserts?

Looks great man!

I'm diggin your choice in upgrades.

I wish I could use my trunk!

I like the smoke on the upper clear portion...I got the same.

Looks so good on the SSM CL.

Also...got the same front and rear mids...like the rears hate the perfects up front.

Too bright for my eardrums....!

yea my goal was to have a system but with full use of my trunk.

Working on projector fog lights but that project has stalled a bit... *ahem LIPSTUH ahem*

I know how you feel at first, but with all the detailed controls of the PXA I've toned down the highs a bit and they're really nice now. But yea, the Kappas by itself, I feel are better sounding speakers than the Perfects.

Yeah I was going to get this really good 1/2 DIN equalizer that Uncald4 rec. but my plans with the CL have momentarily stalled.

I had the kappas in my old car and LOVED them. So I figured I'd use them again but upgraded the fronts. In all honesty, I think the Kappas produce better sound than the perfects but luckily I have the EQ to adjust it. The sub was given to me and I wanted something to maximize trunk space. I'm happy with it for now but will definitely upgrade so I can push mysystem to its fullpotential.

Thanks fellas!

If and when you upgrade get a hold of me...DO NOT take this personal...but Infinity makes one of the worst tweeters on the market

If your every looking into something else I can give you some really good brands that are in the same price as kappa's that will blow you away if you think the those are good.

I use to

But get those boston Pro 60's. If you think these speakers sound good, those will blow you out of the water. I ran those awhile back. AMAZING SQ! And they can get really loud!

i've heard the pro 60'sin person and they sound better than a lot of top brands. I'd say one of the best speakers for your money. One day I'll have a few pieces upgraded, but for now, i'm satisfied.
