So after parting out my car and now having to keep her...I decided to start things over this time with a stereo as a priority....

Here are some pics of a custom dash install with a HUGE help from Philip (LIPPSTUH)..

List of toys:

- Alpine W-205 w/ Blackbird PMB 200
- RED LED conversion to the AC controls, Seat heaters, cruise, sunroof, dimmer swith, and select/rest button....SEXY!!!
- billet AC control knobs
- 07 TL six speed shift knob with silver ring

On the backburner :

- Gauge led conversion (still deciding red or white) please vote on poll
- Will convert the door lights to red led's as well
- PXA H701 (multimedia manager
- RUX C701 (have to get a new one, house was broken into and this was stolen :angryfire but that's another story)

Haven't decided on the fron components or amps and subs yet but I think I might do a all focal set up.

Thanks!...Big Phil helped me out...it's actually not too hard...just time consuming...if you're going to use an alpine touch screen or any touch screen and a dvd unit..it'll be twice as easy to install...

how much room is there behind the stock location for the climate control unit? (ie where you put the new LCD 2-din). the last 2 installs i saw, they only put in a new screen with maybe 2" of depth.

i really like the aftermarket navi installs into the OEM navi location. really good. how much would it be to get a custom piece for the new climate control location?

shop being.... backyard creations? i'll probably be in there the same time as you. i need to get my front bumper and sideskirts re-worked as well as a few things painted.

 

Not much room at all. We had to do some cutting and had get a little "creative".....

As for the custom piece, price all depends on time spend and quality....if you go to a shop they'll charge a buttload for the work...if you have patience and bondo skills (which I don't but Phil did) you can do it yourself...

 

did you buy the shifter and ring togetheras a package or seperately?

my friend revjunky over on the s2ki forums just got back a few ASM parts painted... turned out real nice from what i heard.

 

niiice I like it, my boss is thinking about getting that alpine for his LEgend coupe, he also happens to have the TL shift knob and boot (I do also in my Legend). Looks good!
