So, your new 6 lb pulley from pulleyboys equals what Comptech used to produce in the HBP?

The reason I ask is because I get a max of 6 lbs when I boost, with the HBP from Comptech. That is the amount I have the boost gauge set up to light at when that much is attained.

comptech never produced a HBP, that was actually from a third party. The 9 lb boost setup consists of the 6 lb boost pulley that goes on the alternator, and this 6 lb boost pulley that goes on the blower. But I opted to keep thye alternator pulley alone and just swap the blower pulley. I was told that this smaller pulley might result in a little belt squeal and slippage, becasue of the smaller surface area. We'll see tho.

I see what your saying. If I would have looked closer, I would have seen that the pulley in your picture was for the blower vs the altenator.

Good stuff, carry on.

This isn't the best picture, but the color was gorgeous. The blue would pop like crazy in the sun and look almost black at night. Plus you don't see this color as much as you see black, silver, and white cars.

I'm going to take pics of this M3 that the same shop painted Satin black to show you how beatiful it looks. I'm pretty much only going with lighter colored paint options except for Satin Black, I'm not a good DIY detailer and I hate swirl marks.

Yeah, RDX injectors 410 output is best for forced induction, not 3.7 liters.
And the foglights had gotten scratched in transit, so I sent them back to get redone, shoudl be another week till I get them back.

Wow. Those are so fucking sick! Luv the new wheels in Satin Black and think the CL would be a definite standout in Satin Black as well. Also, those custom road lamps are off the chain. Nice work.

Ok, go the FIC-6 today, and scheduled the delivery of the car to RPM systems for tomorrow 6pm. Gonna take the train back or my boy is going to follow me there. Went over the guidlines with Don and I am so ready to do this.

Pray that everything goes as planned and nothing disasterous happens. I have faith that everything shoudl be fine since I've heard the best guy to do the tuning is Don.

If all goes well, the paintjob is next and I'm gonna have a set of 19" legends done the satin black machinched lip for the rear of the car. 255/35/18 front, 255/30/19 rear.

Then Maybe, juuuuust maybe, i will consider red leather seat covers and accents in the cabin.

Got back a few hours ago, left the car there and I'll pick it up tuned to the bone with 6 lbs of effiecient boost. Can't friggin wait, and I Hope everything goes as planned. This guy Don and RPM is supposed to be a genius when it comes to using the AEM FIC 6 to balance the fuel and air mixture as well as all the components in the car.

Tuning definately brings out a few more horses, but the biggest thing he'll notice is upping the PSI from 3 to 6.

Ok, picking up the car tomorrow (God willing).

1.) I need to know where I can get a 3 gauge pod pillar for the new wideband gauge.

2.) Cool thing he did was install a switch that has the FIC programed two ways, one is N/A if I decide to disconnect the belt and blower. I just hit the switch and loosen the tensioner to remove the blower belt and I'm N/A in a matter of 2 minutes. The other setup is gonna be 6 lbs of boost with all the needed tuning. I'm also getting a 3 lbs boost setup on CD if needed for the future for whatever reason.

3.) The schedule at the dyno time was taking too long, April 22nd was the earliest I could get the car in, so Don just utilized a street tune to get everythign working. Might take it back later if anything feels weird, but he assured me there would be no problem with a street tune and the wideband O2 sensor.

After I get the car, I'm gonna change the axles (showing a small tear in one of the boots), install the new LED fog lights, possibly get Koni Yellow shocks to bring the car down a bit more on the lower perch and detail the car until I settle on what color / colors to repaint the car.

Nice! That 2-way N/A to Boost setup will do you wonders if you want to just cruise on a roadtrip and get better mileage.

JnC is a member here. You should know this, Mr. Mod

Street tunes IMO are better then most dyno tunes because you are actually putting load on the engine. Most dynos dont have that ability, they are just free-spinning rollers.

Ive never seen any 3 guage pods for this car.

Maybe you can get the universal cups and mount them to the stock pillar?

GOING TO PICK UP THE CAR NOW!!!!

He told me the car pulls nice with the 3 lb boost pulley but it seriously throws you back in your seat with the 6 lbs boost, it's an animal!

Also told me he didn't even need to use the RDX injectors, actually he had to kick the fuel output back a bit from what it was set on with the 3 lb boost.

funny story, I get there and we go over all the stuff, parts and interesting things he ran into. So we jump in and take it for a spin. Car feels same as before. I was like what? Keep in mind, Don is a BIG guy, like 500+ lbs as he told me. When he got out and I drove away, the car felt Much faster, lol. even 6th gear pulls like 4th would with 3 lbs of boost. Very impressed with the increase in power. 100 mph is hard to stay away from. Feels linear and smooth the buildup, when you look at the speedo, it's hrd to believe your going as fast as it says. 60 mph is like nothing.

Only issue I'm having is really alot of belt sqeual and slipping. I think Ima get the alternator pulley and see if that fixes it instead of the blower pulley being changed.

Until I get the new High boost pulley from CT-Engineering, I know the squealing and slippage is robbing the car of putting the power down. Besides, it sounds terrible. The pulley from Pulley boys looks slightly different than the Comptech one, so when I drop in the new pulley from comptech and adjust the fuel/air mixture to compensate for the slight difference in boost, I'll know exaclty how much i'm putting down.

As soon as I get on it more than 50% throttle, the belt is slipping all over the place. I can hear it like a loud steering belt you hear on those old cars.

Jacob, no new wheels yet, I think I'm going to stick with these Legends I have now with the 255 tires, they seem to be perfect for this much power, barely lose traction even off the line.

And now MP90 or anythging, I think this is it, if I need more performance, I might as well just get a used 1997+ NSX.

Man, I want some 255s. I cant hook up in first

Flooring it in second around 4k rpms breaks it loose too.

Dude, I'm telling you, with some true performance tires in 255, you should hook up no problem.

BTW, good news, I changed the belt to the old one I had with 3 lbs of boost, and slightly increased the pressure of the tensioner when I tightened it... No more squeal or slipping. Car even pulls harder and I think the ECU is adjusting well, feels stronger than this morning!

I'm so happy with this upgrade.
