Taking the CL a few steps forward.
SO I'm not into that whole teaser themed thread, but I figured this would be a fun little post. Had the Legends in 18" powdercoated Matte Bronze a few months ago and they look good but not great. A little on the dark side, and the Matte texture was too chaulk board for me. So I had the wheels refinished to a Satin Black (between gloss and matte) and had the lip CNC machined 7mm wide. Picked them up today and they are being mounted by the 255/35/18 pirelli tires I had from before.
I'm really planning on doing a few things to the car this summer, like a new painjob, 6 lbs of boost upgrade and possibly a new clutch. I was also considering the NrG engine dampeners and a bunch of smaller mods to bring the car back to life.
As far as paint, I saw a really nice paintjob in person, which was Satin Black like the wheels, and I am seriously considering this. I just can't take the NBP paint, it's too damn prone to swirls and everything shows on it. It's either the Satin Black Clearcoat or a nice 350Z Silver. I even considered a White HOC hue, but I think the Satin black is in the lead.
Here's a few pics of what I am talking about:
example of Satin Black paint, not Matte Black.

NO SILVER, NO SATIN
You cannot paint your car either of those colors. Why? Because I said so.
Seriously though, you should go with a nice metallic or pearl paintjob. Your car is too nice to do otherwise.

I'll get pics of the wheels on the car, they look great, Satin has a nice texture to show off the design well.
Also, here's a list of the mods planned for mid 2010, trying to bring the car back to optimal working order:
1.) Shocks and Struts from Koni (Yellow)
2.) Sway bar Bushings, Front and rear
3.) End links front and rear
4.) New Rear Rotors
5.) Stronger Clutch replacement
6.) Fuel filter replacement
7.) Cabin Filter replacement
8.) Full Exterior Detail
9.) New Headlights Cleared
10.) Potential new exotic silver paint, or Satin Black
11.) Install New LED foglights
13.) wideband O2 sensor and gauge
14.) 6 lb boost pulley from pulley boys
15.) needed mods with increased boost
16.) NrG Engine Dampers
17.) Check all belts, Hoses and Fluids (tune up)
18.) Re-adjust valves
19.) Re-Oil the Supercharger.
Let me know if I left anything out, lol.

No way. Personally, I think satin/matte paint jobs are a fad, just like the camo'd cars. I used to love matte black cars (there was a thread on here over a year ago that I remember posting in regarding them) but now every damn Lamborghini, BMW, Audi, and Benz is painted that way. Its difficult to paint it properly without it looking like primer. There was a thread on here a few weeks ago with someone that had their CL painted Matte Black. The CL cannot pull it off.
If Rons car was mine, Id probably paint it Dark Cherry Pearl off the new MDX, or Ionized Bronze Metallic off the ZDX. Then again, thats just me.

Ron. for wheels they are amazing but i agree with civicdrivr that satin black wont be best idea for your car. It looks just good in NBP. If you have to change the color what about IBM Acura TL 2010 ?that would look sick. The fog lights are amazing i'd love to have something like these... what did you do to the tailights, i like it alot and i want do mine to look the same. did you paint it ? what kind of pain or tint ?

Wheels look really nice in that color. Damn that shifter is short, shorter than i would prefer. Foglights look nice i prefer no lights with mesh backing myself tho. As for the car color Id say get what you like and dont let ppl convince you to get what they like instead.

Yeah, gonna change to Koni Yellows this week, and then a full exterior detail to hold me off. I get the fogs on the 26th, so you know they'll be in the 27th, lol.
For the Summer I really want to upgrade to the 6 lb boost with needed mods to make it work properly.

Woah. The first time I saw those lights I thought they were in mesh, now I see they are in CF. Pretty cool. Id like to see them on the car though.
