Rattling Problem

Soo... I love my car but any of you guys figure a way to get rid of the annoying little rattles that make the car feel cheap?

Which ones?

Last weekend, I got rid of the worse of the bunch in my car, the one in the center console that is sometimes continuous on rough road surfaces. I noticed that if I pressed my leg against the center console while driving the rattle would stop.

So after that discovery, I cut two long foam strips about 8" L x 2" W x 1/2" T. I then stuffed each foam piece under both plastic edges (left and right side) of the center console that's closest to the floor. I used the type of foam that's tubular and split on the side that's used for wrapping water pipes.

I've driven over 400 miles since and haven't heard any rattles from the center console.

I'm hearing some rattles too, sounds like it could be from the sunroof or something but I have no idea. Probably have to take it down to the dealer sometime soon, its really getting annoying

If you take it to the dealer they will fix the sun roof rattel with a "special" tape. If you car is under warrenty they should do it for free. Just tell them you take out clients and it is annoying to listen to while your trying to talk to them....and they'll fix it...worked for me!!

can't we just take the car to a shop and install dynomatt or another sound insulating material and line the friggin car with foam to stop, the creaks and rattles? I wish there was a place that specializes in this kind of stuff. at this point I don't care about weight gain, I just want the car to sound like it's worth something.

No rattles in my 03 CL-S. I had one the day my windshield was replaced over the weekend but I guess everything got seated properly because it's gone now.

The leather seats will do some rubbing noises if the AC is on and it's dry though.

yeah i got ALOT of rattles coming from my center console. What's gay is i can't pinpoint it. Even if I put my leg up against the center console like cl6sp03 did, the rattle still doesn't go away!

I know Acura has a fix for the sunroof rattle (and i got that), but can they do something about the center console?

When I first bought my 6sp, it had a rattle inside the center console. The dealer pinpointed it to be some loose hardware that didn't belong there. Anyway, that rattle was fixed but make you wonder what the hell they are doing at the factory.

admittedly though, this generation CL and TL are not very well-built. Sur they're good value for money, but there're just so many poor quality and craftmanship problems..... and they're not actual flaws

My car is going back to the dealer, Acura of Auburn for a dash/console rattle fix next week. They say some cl's fall under a tsb for the tl in which the whole dash must be slightly pulled away from the firewall for installation of some kind of dense foam strip that stop rattling. At the moment if I hit railroad tracks too fast the whole dash will jump. I will post again after the repair.

I don't think most people will ever get rid of all the rattles in their CL's. I've managed to get most of them fixed over the last year, but there always seems to be one or two rattles that resurface whenever the weather changes from hot to cold and back to hot again. These rattles are probably the most difficult to fix because they aren't so easy to reproduce whenever I bring my car in for a service.

I have got 34K on my 2001 cls and I do not have any rattles, do the rattles start at a certain mileage? I'm serious...by the way I rode in a honda accord and compared to the acura, iI thought a window was open or something...it was my brother's and I told him so...I'm not being passive-agressive on our fellow Hondaphiles.
