It's clstypeslow's old old car. Haha I think two people owned it after he sold it and before I bought it. You did a great job on the kit.

badeh2 11-13-2011 11:37 PM

knew it looked familiar.

cltypeSLOW 11-14-2011 09:57 AM

Nice, the wheels look great. Not a big fan of yellow foglight film, but to each his own.

id say no. i like the white

bluedc2 11-28-2011 05:38 PM

I know the white looks good, but im getting tired of it. Kinda wanna change the look up of the car.

CLassy02 11-28-2011 07:45 PM

Yeah but the blue on your color I think might be strange looking. Don't get me wrong I'm all for crazy colors but I just don't think it will mix well with the car color.

bluedc2 11-28-2011 07:47 PM

Any other color choices you think would look good?

slvrdrgn123 11-28-2011 09:31 PM

What wheel are those? It's so sexy, I might have to find a set for my car next summer.

Which are a knock off of Work CR-Kais.

I think that lighter colors would def benefit the car. Maybe teal a goldish color?

m733l 11-29-2011 04:05 PM

what kind of film is on the fog?

KnightWKNF 11-29-2011 07:05 PM

Anyone know how much that custom mold of TL body kit to the Cl would cost?

acura_dipset_tl 11-30-2011 03:10 AM

Nice pictures.

It depends on how much you can get the kit for, and if you plan on doing the work yourself, or paying someone to do it. If done right with the kit, materials, paint. $1,000+ give or take.

civicdrivr 12-09-2011 11:58 PM

It was mentioned above. Rota Torque - knockoff Work CR-Kais

kidduce 12-10-2011 01:45 AM

Car looks real good. Nice pick up. Have ou thought of maybe spacing out the wheels a bit?

Yup got 10mm spacer coming for the back and 5mm for the front. A little stance nothing crazy.

bluedc2 12-10-2011 03:24 PM

Got the windows tinted today. 20%

richardparker 12-11-2011 09:08 AM

Keep in mind the further you push the wheels out the lower of a profile tire or more of a stretch tire you will need to run to avoid rubbing the outer side of the fenders.

Also with the 5mm spacer you might be kicking youself in your ass because it's not nothing you will even see as far as increasing your stance.
5mm is less than 1/4".
I would do 10mm minimum in the front.
What's your wheels offset now ?
The tint job looks clean.
How much it cost you ?

You think I can get away with 10mm in the front with 225/45/17? I could adjust the camber I suppose. I know I can for the rears. My wheel offset is +45 I think. My wheels are 17x8. Tint was $130.

richardparker 12-11-2011 10:23 AM

I'm not the wheel master but,
10mm would sit your front wheels flush.
Depending on how low your drop is I supose. Is weather it would fit good.
If your tires are already tucked under your fenders then running more camber would be a must with no rub.
If I was going for a stanced look with your wheel I would do a 205mm wide front tire. It would give you all the extra clearance you will need for the 10mm,even possibly 15mm with a little camber. 15 would get the stanced look in the front.

You have the 5/10 on the way I would definitly try the 10 in the front.

bluedc2 12-11-2011 10:52 AM

Well these tires have ALOT of tread left on them so I have to deal with them. I think ill try the 10mm up front might have to raise my car up a little up front. and 12mm for the rear. What you think about that? Thanks for the help by the way.

civicdrivr 12-11-2011 01:57 PM

I had my CR-Kais flush - not hella flush since thats not my style - but flush.

They were 18x8.5 +43mm running 235/40s. They stuck out ~8.3mm further then what youre currently running, assuming your wheels are in fact +45mm. I wasn't slammed like you though, but the front didnt require any mods but the rear needed to have the fenders rolled and the tabs trimmed.

bluedc2 12-11-2011 02:39 PM

Thanks for the help. I guess I will go with 10mm up front

RideCL 12-14-2011 11:04 AM

Solid!!

Picking her up from the shop tomorrow.

Also, I plan on painting my wheels teal. Im getting tired of white all my previous cars have had white wheels. Heres a photoshop chop of how it will look. C/C Welcomed.

Also, did lime green to. Dont like it as much as teal.

lol nice you even kept the rock as a souvenir

IMO, neither. ditch the ROTAs all together if you can. I'd say a dark graphite/gun metal or light satin bronze would look good with that color. The other 2 look like skittles.

richardparker 12-16-2011 12:12 PM

The teal looks better than the green.
The green is just too much.

bluedc2 12-16-2011 08:03 PM

Still undecided. I would like to ditch them. I've had them up forsale for months now. When tax time rolls around I'll get new wheels for sure.

Got my car back today. Check out my old oil pan.

richardparker 12-16-2011 08:36 PM

Holy sh!t !
How's the front lip ?
Any other damages ?
Exhaust,oil pick up strainer ?

bluedc2 12-16-2011 08:41 PM

Lip and bumper are both good, no damage. They were able to salvage the strainer. New OEM oil pan and gasket.

richardparker 12-16-2011 08:48 PM

I don't know how that rock could fit under there. Mine don't have a lip kit and that thing would smashed my front bumper.
Well,I guess you got pretty lucky with only 100 pan.
But,you need a luck charm or some shit man.
How bad was the damage to the strainer ?
If the rubber gasket is not fully seated or their is a crack you will have low oil presure.

civicdrivr 12-16-2011 10:33 PM

How long did the engine run after you hit the rock?

bluedc2 12-17-2011 10:31 PM

Not even a minute. As soon as I hit the rock the oil light came on luckily I was the right lane so I pulled over and shut it off.

bluedc2 12-17-2011 10:33 PM

Not going bronze. I had grids on my car before didn't really like them alot. Here's a picture.
