I installed these puddle lights, similar to those that Brabus offers Benz cars. They turn on when you unlock the doors or open them. They don't stay on whenever your driving cause that would make it look tacky. I'm trying to go for that lux look.

so they are little LED's mounted under the sideskirt or what? how did you waterproof them?
