P2R throttle body spacer install

I got my spacer and gaskets today from excelerate. Install took a bit longer than expected. First, if you have an intake, you will have to shave a little bit of the tube off. I have the comptech ice box, and its plastic so its a bit easier to shave down. Do a bit at the throttle bottle and a little at the filter end. Its only a little bit! dont take too much off! Also, if you want the manifold cover back on you will have to shave a little bit off where the map sensor is. So far ive only taken it around the block, but my butt dyno does feel a bit more pull. Very nice piece though! I will be getting the plenums next, and at that time install the IM gasket as well. Heres some pix showing install

Nice man...is it really necessary to shave parts of the tube off? I thought it would all fit, it would just be a little tight.

Yup i really tried without having to shave it, but it definatly has to be. You may be able to figure something out, but i wasnt. I tried pushing the tube further into the rubber things ( dont know what there called, one at the tb one at the filter) but they wont go back any further. It not a big deal really. You notice on the tube theres like a ring type thing on each end, just shave it to the ring (which isnt much) And put the tube back in. Obviosly the shaved part is in the rubber and you wont be able to even tell you shaved it.Its just a little more work to put the spacer on is all.

so you have the p2r TB spacer plus the thermoblock spacers correct? this is what i wanted to do but havent seen anyone with this setup, seems like all ive seen is either the thermoblock TB spacer OR the p2r spacer, but not both together

Cool. Yeah it is no big deal to shave a little bit off, it is just another step.
