Hey does anyone know if there a difference between the OBX headers and the Comptech headers? Well, I know for sure that Comptech is of better quality, but what about HP/Torque gain? And doesn't the Comptech headers come with a down pipe as well? If so, doesn't that make the HP gain more than the OBX? Of course I would pick the Comptech headers over the OBX, it's just that someone is selling them brand new for a pretty reasonable deal ($350). Can someone give me advice whether or not I should go with the OBX. Thanks in advance.

In the upper right hand corner, there is a search button. There have been tons of posts about headers. More than anyone can cover in a single thread. I have the OBX headers and love them except there is a resonance briefly at 2500rpm that Comptech doesn't have. The internal welds aren't as pretty on the OBX as the Comptechs also. Whether or not that is where the resonance comes from isn't proven. The gains seem to be about the same for all of the headers (20-30whp) and they both come with all of the parts that you will need for the install. The looks from the outside between OBX and CT are the same from what I have seen. So, long story made short, if you don't mind a bit of ricey resonance at 2500rpm then I would save yourself $600 and go with OBX. There is another manufacturer, Stone Headers that there was a group buy on a few months back but the gb is over and I don't think there is a website to order direct from. They were $400 in the group buy. As you can tell from my sig, most of my mods are CT but they are way overpriced on the headers.
