New Pics of the CL-S with supercharger and TL lip

Here are updated pics of my CL-S with a custom molded 99-01 TL lip and supercharger with hbp. Unfortunately, my car was towed (long story) and they ended up scratching the front lip a little. It could have been worse but it sucks I just had it done a couple of weeks ago. Hope you enjoy!

The lip looks great, nice change to the ones who do the 02-03 TL lip. This lip is a bit more subtle. Gotta love that blower...

You have a +40 offset on your wheels? IF so are they rubbing after the drop or did you shave/roll your fenders?

I have the fenders rolled and cut the bumper tabs. I was rubbing on hard bumps with a finger gap on the drop, but now with a two finger gap, no rubbing issues.

Very nice everything looks perfect, unique. (not a fan of the mud guards and even those look just right)
Was there major modifications done to get that lip to fit?

Nice man!

Those wheels kick ass!

And now for my constructive criticism... :troutslap I like how you painted the mud gaurds but IMHO, I think it would look better if you took them off completely.

I wish I had a s/c'er.

I think you should've finished by adding the entire kit.

IMO I think painted mudguards go better on a car without a lip, but since you've molded it already, why not finish with the sideskirts/rear lip?

on the S/C.

I'm thinking about snagging those wheels. Halfway thinking about the lip. If only the width and offset were better on the wheels though. Damn Axis.

Wouldn't that width and offset be an issue together? I mean, obviously DJ did it, but I'm just wondering if the offset should be higher for general purposes. Help me out here. What would be ideal for an 8.5" wide wheel assuming I wanted to go down to 1-1.5 finger gap?

+50 or higher would be ideal with that width if you didn't want to shave/roll or cut tabs.

I would agree with Brianlin87. +50 or higher would be the ideal setting. With my set up, camber adjustment is not possible. So tire wear will get me in the long run, but this is the look I wanted. I wanted my car to have an aggressive look. I wanted the staggered look, but that would obviously been pointless since our cars are FWD.

The body shop charged me 425.00 and the lip was 120.00 shipped on Ebay. You should be able to get a lower estimate thru a decent body shop. But remember the saying, you get what you pay for.

The lip had to be widened to fit. I believe what they did was cut the lip in the middle and extended it.

Those wheels and lip look great! Did you have to do anything special for the wheels to fit?

Any rubbing issues? What about camber?

THe fenders were rolled and bumper tab cut. No rubbing issues at this time. I had it lower in the back before these recent pictures and it would rub on hard bumps. Camber is an issue though. It has a lot of negative camber and I will not be able to get a camber kit to fix it since the wheels are very close to sticking out of the fender now. I wouldnt suggest this set up as an ideal set up, unless you dont mind the faster tire wear.
