New guy 03 cls from DFW
Like the title says I am new to the acura game I had an old prelude with a h22 swap when I was in high school but that was about 5 or 6 cars ago. I stumbled across this little bute when my s10 blew up. Its a 03 cls a/t with 78k. My post will be low because I know how to use the search button. But I did want to introduce myself. I hope this pic works as I'm working from my phone I'll post a couple more if it does. [IMG][/IMG]

Well I do have the chrome cls wheels and I don't see them too much. If I did switch it would be for some aspects but everyone wants a grip for em. Or some bbs rs reps. But I like the modified oem look. You got some leads??

I'm afraid I'm not that in tune with the community. Just throwing out an idea based upon my personal experiences and opinion. Regardless of whether you want to bake in some more performance or stance the car, I just think our stock wheels are a weak link because they're relatively narrow, have conservative offsets, and limit your tire options. Spacers can address the second con, but I've never been a fan of that solution. The roads on my side of town work over my car's suspension enough without me pushing unsprung weight onto its extremities.
As far as aesthetics and even performance goes, dropping the tire profile on stock wheels takes you beneath the car's recommended load rating for many tire models, while a 225 mm tire is about the widest any tire manufacturer will certify a 7" wheel for. A 7.5-8" wide 17" or 18" wheel will give you far more options while improving your stance, though any offset lower than + 45 may be fender-rolling territory.

When it comes to wheels offset and tire width I am clueless I wanted to run maybe a 18x8 with a 30 offset and a little tire stretch nothing to crazy it's still a dd I need to find a balance between dd and aggressive.

go for aspecs instead of rep junk, if that's what you're considering. much better build quality and durability and won't bend or blow up on you like chinese made reps...
check black market here for sponsored vendors section, you can find new aspecs all day, variety of finishes, if i recall for $800 a set or so. most aspecs come 18x8, but if you're lucky (like me lol) you might come across a rare set of the slightly wider 18x8.5 aspecs (+45 offset) that give a slightly better look imo.
recommended tire size for 18's is 235/40/18 to keep your odometer in spec.
if you ever plan to upgrade to RL calipers, the offset will become even more important so consider that too if you're planning that upgrade down the line.

I really want to aspecs but they don't last long on the bm and they want a grip on the bay. I know they make them for a a couple different models. Which ones are a direct bolt on because I want to 8.5s also
