Take a pic of the entire back. It's kinda hard to tell from just the close up.

the type-S emblem looks a little modern compared to the font of the 3.2CL piece
doesn't look bad though; i'll reserve my judgement until i see a pic of the whole trunk

Looks good, I would take off the 3.2CL. And try to get a picture of the whole trunk with the 3.2CL on and off.

I think he just snapped the 3.2 part off, the plastic on the emblem isn't thick at all.

now that i look at it again, i dont really like it. the S is alot bigger than the rest of the font, not to mention a complete different style. if you like it them more power to you.

yea that sounds like it could work, and then sand down any rough edge at the break point....might be doin that when i get back from vacation

but what would u do after that, cuz ud have to remove the entire 3.2CL piece right? do u just get new adhesive and stick the CL part back on? i know its a noob question but i just dont know what kinda adhesive to use

I just bought an 07 TL Type S badge off of eBay and I can't wait to put it on. When I saw the 07 TL Type S badge I had to have it. Obviously I'll be leaving the TL off and just replace the original Type S badge that's on now with the new one. You can see though moving it to the left so it's not sitting right on the edge of the trunk makes a huge difference. I'll post picts as soon as I get it in and put it on.

I know the car's dirty. I can't wash it for another week because my front bumper was repainted recently and they told me wait three weeks before washing it. It's torture driving it around this dirty.

Eh, to each their own. It's all good. I'm just not a fan of a totally or almost totally debadged back end.

Are you serious? What the fuck kind of idiots are they?

I used to do auto body and you always wash the car after you are done and give it back to the customer!!!

Maybe you shouldn't use a pressure washer, but seriously, that would be if you used a paint brush to paint the damn thing! Or they used cheap paint and blended it and are scared you might peel back the new paint.

When painting it, they should have baked the paint and it should be completely fine by the next day (tops) to wash...

Only thing I can think of is that they used a single stage paint from a cheap provider. Our cars have a base coat, clear coat paint...

Oh, what the hell A badge is that?

Well, if you check out my post you'll see what kind of idiots they are:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186281

They told me not to take my car through a car wash with the high pressure sprayers, but I challenge you to find a place in Arizona that doesn't use those to wash your car. Even the ones where you wash it yourself only have high pressure sprayers. I live in a condo so I can't wash it in my driveway with a garden hose, so I really don't have a choice except for waiting another week. I know for a fact they used factory paint and baked it because it matches perfectly and they are part of the Acura dealership. Then again they also fucked up my interior, so I guess anything is posible.

I love Acurazine because just when you think you're going to get at least one positive comment, it turns out to be all negative. Oh well. I like my badges and I even like my license plate. Guess that makes me different, and God knows I don't want to be "normal".

That was for women, but it went out with Paris Hilton...

Anyways, you should cut it out of your photos, I think it is really distracting to the appeal of your car. I guess, I'm just trying to say that with that plate in the pic, you may be impairing others opinions. It's just too distracting...

I know about your other thread, I was the one who gave you the info on the OEM seat cushion covers. That place sounds like it has its head up its ass...

You can wash your car, but if you want to wait, go ahead. I washed my car today for the first time in months.

As for the 'A' badge, I wasn't being negative. I wasn't being negative in anything about the retards at the dealership. I was simply asking what badge it was. I thought it looked like it belonged on the back of an Integra or something...

Back on Topic of this thread:
For the Type S badge, I liked the '07 badge when I first saw it, but when I think about it, I think that I would personally (this is only MY OPINION) like the silhouette badge (your oem badge) instead of the '07...
I like how it's a cut out instead of looking like its drawn on a box...

Are you shitting me, dude??? I'm not going to cut my license plate out because it's distracting to people. I really don't care enough to do that, it's on the car so I'm leaving it. The regular Arizona plate is purple and yellow anyway, so it's not that much better.

Sounds like you've got a little homophobe issue going on there. :ghey:

Maye it's just the lighting, I don't know, but all I see when I look at that pic is the left taillight and the license plate... No biggie, just saying it's distracting to me... Owell, I couldn't care less honestly.

Nice, pulling out the "I couldn't care less" phrase! I was so hoping you used it wrong so I could've corrected you on it. Good one.

It's just I would feel like I wasn't representing the car the way it looks in person if I photochopped the plate out everytime. I admit I would've choosen a different color for the plate if I had a choice, but it only came in that one version.

<--- Owns 3 shirts that contain pink. It's this new thing apparently.

<--- Had CO Columbine "Respect Life" plates on my truck and on the CL.

I got them originally because the colors looked good on my F150 as opposed to the green & white. Then they got trans to the CL. Mr. Green Jeep gets the standard green and white.

If you are attempting to install a used emblem, then pick up some 3M double sided tape. If you are installing a new emblem then the adhesive is already installed on the back of the emblem, simply peel and place.
