Theres nothing wrong with the car now. Its safe to drive, my AFRs are right where they should be. Since replacing the fitting on the FPR yesturday I noticed my AFRs are actually a bit more stable.

I just know theres more power to get out of it through tuning.

If Dons hacking venture works out, I may revisit the idea of throwing some boost at the car, but only after I finish my other car.

Time to go outside and wash the car and get some measurements for the intake I want to make

I mentioned it another post on the last page I think, but my wheel guy had a hard time matching the paint on them. He finally got the correct color in on Thursday. I hope to have them before the rain on Thursday so I can take some pics with everything still clean.

It took my 4 hours to clean the entire car today. Im never going a month between washes again The engine bay was particularly disgusting. Im headed to the Wash and Wax forum to find out whats safe to use as a spray on cleaner. I tired or wiping down everything and it still looking like shit.

There is so much rambling in this thread, I just look at the most recent page

I'm sorry there has been a delay, but I'm sure they are well worth the wait!

Luckily I've been able to wash my car every two weeks or so. Luckily, unlike you CL guys, I have a shit ton of plastic shrouding around my engine bay so I just wipe it off real quick and it looks great

Im usually good about washing it every week, but with the constant snow storms I couldnt.

Im alittle pissed the guy didnt call me to give me an update on everything, I had to call him Thursday morning, when he told me when I dropped them off that they would be done Wednesday

And yes, this thread is wildly off topic all the time. Im probably going to start another thread just with the updates, timeline style.

It is very hard to keep threads on topic, I have started threads to "get away from the ot" and they have been ripped off topic.

This winter was terrible man! Being born and raised in Orlando, I hate winter.

And I would be annoyed to say the least, but I guess you've gotta pay the price to have them done correctly. I would rather wait a couple of days to make sure they are done the way I want them than get them quickly and not be happy.

I know I don't help with the off topic shit talking about weather and DSLRs and such. My fault.

Yea, I was born and raised in NY and I used to love snow. Then I got my license. I have no problem driving in it but its the idiots here that have no idea what to do.

I was mainly annoyed he didnt update me, I could care less if it takes 4 weeks to paint (ok, I probably would )

Dont worry about talking about other stuff. I doesnt bother me. As Rajca said, it keeps it interesting

Dude I'm sure people up there are better about it than people down here.

If there is any MENTION of possible snow within the next week, the grocery stores go out of stock and people go crazy. Plus school gets cancelled for a light dusting of snow and then cancelled again the next day because of black ice

Is this guy painting the wheels or powdercoating them? I still don't understand why the hell he's taking so long.

We're going with paint this time. I didnt want the added weight of the powdercoat. The RJs on the car now are powdercoated, same guy is doing them. It would be difficult to match the color with powdercoat. And yes, that means Im not going with black wheels for this set

Remember that first storm in January? Schools here were closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, they went back on Thursday, and were closed again on Friday for the storm that was coming on Saturday

I have no problem driving in the snow in NY, but people down here are retarded. Shockingly, a few years ago when I was in Vegas it snowed. It was only about 2 inches or so, but nothing was closed, and people actually knew how to handle it. Granted, most of the people in LV are transplants from other parts of the country I still found it amazing. This past Christmas I went out to Vegas and took a trip to the Grand Canyon. It snowed a solid 10" overnight, and the roads were cleared and salted. At my house, we're lucky if the plow comes by within 36hours of the storm passing, and even then its not a real plow. They use construction equipment which fucks up the road even more.

I love driving in snow... sometimes, if we had snow for 3-4 months out of the year rather than 7-8 I would be much happier, but the people here can be retarded especially people who drive big trucks

I think this year anyone who I saw in the ditch was a truck because they get so ridiculously cocky in the snow and cant do shit when they lose control

I maintain to this day that nothing beats snow tires and FWD in the snow.

Although this past winter I was stuck with summer tires, but they still worked

Lol, I worked 72 hours last week, my first day off in over a month was Sunday. I dont have alot of time to mess with the car. Im waiting for my wheels still

And Honda got all my parts but one very small and very important bolt so I couldn't do another mod. It shipped from Cali Friday, it technically should be here now, but they said most likely Wednesday. So Im hoping to do something to the car tomorrow night.

Ill say when I post pics

I shot some vids today mainly to show the AFR gauge. These are all from my phone so the quality definately isnt the best, nor is it to stable. Sound sucks too.

This is a cold startup:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrzcVVRY9OA

This is just a steady cruise:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntkVEk6aYcI

Here is a quick second-third pull. I didnt go WOT until around 4500rpms in second, I think I shifted around 6k rpms:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STGxbaRi3Fo

Once again, sorry for horrible quality and making you look at them sideways.

Ill try to make it to the meet btw. Its too early to tell what work has in store for me.

Once I finish the camera mount Ill be taking a few more videos.

My brother and I had a bit of fun last night on the way home from work. We went from 45mph to around 120 getting on the highway. He was in front of me on the entrance ramp and obviously got the jump. I was playing with the throttle the whole time, not really going WOT. When we got home, he looked at me, shook his head and said "you got me". My response was "wait, you were floored? I was playing with it..." He said, "I wasnt floored, but the way you passed me, I wouldnt be able to keep up if I was."

3.6 = 1
3.5 = 0

Hopefully another mod will be coming this evening

4 hour to clean car? try 10+hours. What are you trying to clean? interior? Come on man, I detail once in a while. If its for the inside, use a mix of 1 part woolite and 10 parts water. When your done with that, if your leather is kinda dry throw on some leather conditioner. I use Duragloss but Lexol works too and its OTC. Get yourself some 303 protectant on top. Leaves a nice matte finish, very little gloss.

From the last video, looksl like when you went WOT at above 5k, AFR dropped to 11-12? thats pretty rich for NA if your looking for power.......

Good stuff though!
