still working on the meisters. i bought a new pair for my rear making it 9.5 and 10.5. did a fender pull today. looks like it needs to go to the shop. probably going to go around getting quotes and dropping off my car by wednesday since i will be out of town for a week.

and there might be an epic shoot sometime in the future.... when? who knows.

Good times.

just to update this dead CL forum and thread.

so i just got a shipment of new 19x10.5, used the 19x9.5 for my fronts now. apparently my fronts fenders had more room than my rears. the 9.5 is flush but was pulled (slammed + wheels turned + driveway = pulled). added a 7mm spacer, it basically pokes a decent amount. thinking of running a 10mm spacer instead.

my rear fenders are shaved, so when i pulled it ~15-20mm it came out uneven, damaged fenders; i can live with until winter or next spring when i send in a few things to get painted i will have them restructure my fenders.

shaved and relocated fender tabs, since the 10.5 are close to my strut, i can't run extreme camber. still rubbing on hard turns, a slight pull, small amount of camber and more shaving will solve that easily. as of now its poking a little more than the fronts. pokes about 10mm. love it. lip's huge; 4inches.

pictures can be found on the 3rd gen tl forum, nothing worthy of posting yet. pictures are w/o front spacer

new parts should be coming in soon. tired of being a , but its not like you can't tell whats coming since i made posts about it in other sections.

new updates:
odyssey altenator 130A swap, hopefully it'll solve my battery problems (not really a problem, just something i feel like is a worthy mod to do). i'm running roughly 2000 watts rms, killed my yellow top optima in a 1.5 years. sucks whatever move on. other plans might be to run a yellow top in the trunk (2 batteries) we'll see.

also with that, looking to get a pulley. i'd like underdrive, but obviously i "can't" run it with my system. researching to see if the altenator is enough to so i get the underdrive version, if not oh well its only a small difference.

cf trunk/hood: some of you know someone vandalized my trunk, and recently someone keyed it. wasn't too mad since they oculd have keyed something else. now i moved to a new apartment with a garage they'll get painted early next year.

that's all for now, was thinking of going FI, but seeing new N/A mods surfacing, i will stay NA for now to see what else comes up. unless i find a good deal on an s/c

other mods that i havn't posted is my interior, going to fix the mount of my navi. problem is the stiff coilovers i have now plus the metal for my navi mount is weak. so i'll replace it with a better bar.

other things is that i did a cf cover on my trim pieces, had that fake aluminum before, looked nice, but i thought they stuck out like a sore thumb in the black interior. love it much more.

might paint my calipers gold, or switch to a different bbk, not sure yet. love the wilwoods though. i would powdercoat, but that requires resealing them and its just another headache.

other than engine mods, looking to redo my audio one day, scared of the my system warping/damaging my future cf trunk since they're facing up. better sound is accomplished with a simple box, but we'll see when that comes up.

on another forum we're trying to get the prototype headers produced, looks like there's a huge interest especially with the recent j32 craze; i'm hoping for the best, but i know it might not happen. only time will tell.

unorganized post but WHATEVER. dont' read if u ask for cliffs, i don't really care if you do lol.

happy modding guys

Nice update and sucks to hear about your car getting keyed.

CF hood & trunk...nice pick up.

Going to be going down there to pick up a set...

Maybe towards the end of this year.

Curious about the CF trim pieces.

Did you get a new interior trim kit?

That's what I've been wanting to pick up.

I've got some other ideas for the interior.

I'll have to see how they shape up.

the trim pieces aren't real cf, but they're not the sticker overlay. its a new "fad" forming on the bimmer forums. looks like dry cf, love it. didn't want glossy since it wouldn't match IMO.

my interior is almost done other than lighting. i don't want to do much more, its simple; love the navi and the ebony color. a few things here and there, rather concentrate on other things for now. just so many opportunities that come up my alley; i just have to pick what to do.

also on the list is retrofit headlights and LED taillights, been researching here and there for over 6-8 months. i have some projectors for a while now. also looking to get into detailing; going to all these meguiars open garages are very addicting. went to a free 8-hour detailing class last year, learned a lot. meguiar is the shit for sure; they give you the tools and products and knowledge and put them in your hands then let you do some hands on detailing. they even watch and give you feedback... all for free, it amazes me how much this company does for the community. they were bought out by 3m recently, hopefully they won't change this... plus they provide free food/drinks... sick shit y0

Yeah it might be the same stuff (CF) I had in mind.

I just finished up my LED tail lights not that long ago.

Honestly...that was a bitch to do and I don't think our tail light design is very flattering for LED's..

Our Tail lights don't bake open so they had to be cut open by hand with a Dremel.

Did you see them?

I didn't know Meguiars was bought out by 3M...crazy.

Hope they don't change their company model...don't think they will but who knows.

Yeah I wish I was closer to attend the detailing classes.

I picked up a PC and have been slowly learning through tedious online research, trial & error.

Im very interested in the CF trim. Where did you pick it up (if you dont mind me asking)? Is it custom made or does it just lay over the existing trim? My interior needs some spicing up

Well it sounds like something different than an sticker overlay...

I would consider vinyl a sticker overlay.

The thing I am using is made of real CF fibers but it isn't all fiberglassed and glossy like you typically see CF.

I thought maybe we were talking about the same thing.

as far as you can read he actually specifically stipulated it wasn't the CF vinyl sticker overlay. see above link/pic.

Yeah that's different material and more affordable that what I'm referring to.

The stuff I'm looking isn't a wrap but made from real CF weave.

But that wrap looks pretty good and price point is nice to experiment with.

The neffywrap is the same stuff lippstuh is using? I like the way it looks.

Lippstuh - How much of that did you order? Did you do just the "aluminum" trim or even the radio surround, center console, and gauge surround?

I've never seen Lippstuh's interior - so I can't say for sure I know what fabric he's using.

maybe him and I should do a photoshoot if my car ever gets out of the bodyshop

its the cf fabric, bought it at a local distributor from e90post called eurodyne. its a fabric, stretchy. its more of a dry cf look, obviously fake. i can care less. its actually a really nice look IMO. plus everyone i showed it to end up buying 2 yards as well.

and that shoot is long over due. but like u, my car will be heading to the shop sometime this year if i can live without my car for a while and drive my gf's.
