I definitely agree!! The ride has style

Drop looks perfect, I was looking into the Tanabe springs as well. No rubbing or anything at all, right? What size tires are you running?

01bluecls 02-16-2005 09:21 AM

WOW, some of you peeps need to read the WHOLE thread not to bash but almost all the questions you all have asked have aleady been asked and answered!

Mr.Fusion's springs are Tanabe NF210 "Normal Feel" Springs.
The tires are 235/40/18
18x7.5 Nex-O PX-5 wheels
"This was my first experience with "normal feel" springs. I've been really impressed, I can't feel any difference whatsoever from the stock ride, no bouncy ness of any kind. Only change is that it feels so much easier to turn. There's not much wheel gap and I can still go over speedbumps easily and get in and out of my driveway with no problems."

www.turboimport.com <- where you can get the Springs for $220 Shipped.

My notes: The springs are advertised as a 1.5Fr and 1.0R drop. (Same as the Old silver Comptech). With this mild drop, camber is prolly not an issue. Vehicles that need camber vary car to car. The springs advertised, are said not to be more than 10% stiffer than stock, which means very close to stock ride quality. The other springs that would compare to this is the Tein High.Tech (Luxury Masters) as they advertise the same drop, but no one has posted any good reviews for those and pics.

Hope this helps!

01bluecls 02-16-2005 09:28 AM

As a side note, I and others appreciate Mr. Fusion posting pics of these springs, for one, no one else has them as far as I know, two, not many people knew about them before Mr.Fusion posted them, three he was kinda enough to post lots of pics and include a small mini review! Thumbs up!

^ as he said, thanks to Mr Fusion. Very informative.

01bluecls 02-16-2005 12:38 PM

MrFusion...I guess there are a few more things to help myself and others out.

1. Since pics are a hard way to determine drop "in reality", could you tell us about how many fingers you can fit into the front and rear fenders between the top part of the tire to the edge of the fender? (On a LEVEL surface) (finger method seems to be the most visual way people use)
2. Do you have before springs and after springs pics to show the drop? ( i think this will help us determine the actual drop visually since it gives us a point of comparison.)

Just to let some of you know the Mr.Fusion's tires and wheels 235/40/18 is about the same DIAMETER as the stock 215/50/17 CL-S tires and wheels.
Thanks!!

Oh yea, the CL ain't too bad either   Someone mentioned that in the first set of pics they couldn't tell where the well ended/tire began - I couldn't either!

Yeah at wheelmax, the priced has dropped quite a bit.

shaggyg 03-27-2005 12:33 PM

yeah yeah sweet ride

I think after looking through these forum pics, i have decided to look a bit harder into picking up a 3.2 CL. 2001 is prob. going to be the choice. I was curious if the CL's quality varies from year to year, not refering to the type S to the basic, like if one year just came with more goodies or what people's opinions on different CL's were. Hope im not too confusing, just debating on different cars (1999-2001 prelude, 2002 accord) and which year on the CL.
Thanks,
Andrew the nwb

Mr. Fusion Looks great.
I think I'm going to get those springs also.
I have a quick question, I've read everything I could find on the site could not find a definative answer about replacing the shocks also. Did you replace your factory shocks? and if so what did you use?
Thanks

You might want to start a thread instead of posting that kind of question in Mr.Fusion's thread.

Just to give you a quick answer though, 01-03 quality remianed the same. The 03 has different headlights, tailights, onstar available, silver interior trim instead of burlwood, and most importantly the available six speed.
