Very nice  great pics
|
Very nice. What kinda camera did you use/what resolution? Looks either like the camera was really good or you scaled it down a bunch.
Car is hot too, the rims fit perfectly. The drop isn't slammed or anything, but it's classy. |

Car is hot too, the rims fit perfectly. The drop isn't slammed or anything, but it's classy. This was my first experience with "normal feel" springs. I've been really impressed, I can't feel any difference whatsoever from the stock ride, no bouncy ness of any kind. Only change is that it feels so much easier to turn. There's not much wheel gap and I can still go over speedbumps easily and get in and out of my driveway with no problems. |
Oops and the pics are resized from 2272x1704

Gorgeous car, gorgeous pictures.
Your pictures look like stills from some spy movie: SCENE 111: The Master Villan steals into the abandoned parking garage at midnight, gliding silently in his intimidating black car, on his way to pick up the suitcase full of... :D |
wheels look good and the drop is perfect. Where did you get the springs by chance?
|
saw the pics on OT. ;)
nice |
Nice ride homie, I just can't wait till mines gets out the shop.

Mr.Fusion... Do you have any close up pics with good lighting of your car? Im curious about your drop. I just wanna see more pics so i can see the gaps.
The site http://www.turboimport.com/catalog/acura_cl_tl.htm shows that those springs are 1.5fr and 1.0r which is the same as the "old" comptechs. If additional pics are given I may order these springs! |

Are those stock light bulbs for the headlights?
|
Here are some daytime pics for those who requested:
http://www.howboutdemcowboys.com/car/cls15.jpg http://www.howboutdemcowboys.com/car/cls16.jpg http://www.howboutdemcowboys.com/car/cls17.jpg Yes the headlight bulbs are stock, it's probly just the image cooling in photoshop that's making them appear more blue. |
LOL, crap! Your car is black, and the second set of pics you posted I cant tell where the top of the tire starts and how much gap you have between the top of tire and fenders! :)
I guess if you dont have any more pics up close of the wheel gaps... What size tires are you running on your 18's? How big are the fender gaps in the front and rear, how many fingers, estimated inches etc? Sorry for the questions and all, but im deciding between these and the H&R Sport Drop. I feel the sport drop maybe too low for me, these Tanabe's may be my answer to a old comtech like drop i have been looking for! :) |

I guess i might get these springs....This thread is the only review/post with pics that I have seen for the Tanabe's but they look like the springs im looking for. They look almost perfect. The H&R's Sport drop worry me just a little around my roads....plus i think im just being a puss about them :(
|
I wish someone could post some pix with the tein luxury master springs I want to compare
|
me too!!!!! :(
|
How much do new springs cost, and do they void the warranty, Either way SICK CAR
|
what kinda wheels are those? lookn sweet man
|
 Your car is absolutely beautiful... That combo of springs and wheels gives the car a nice balance of aggressiveness and class. Did those springs introduce any camber issues or uneven tread wear on the tires?
|
I definitely agree!! The ride has style
|
Drop looks perfect, I was looking into the Tanabe springs as well. No rubbing or anything at all, right? What size tires are you running?
|
WOW, some of you peeps need to read the WHOLE thread not to bash but almost all the questions you all have asked have aleady been asked and answered!
Mr.Fusion's springs are Tanabe NF210 "Normal Feel" Springs. The tires are 235/40/18 18x7.5 Nex-O PX-5 wheels "This was my first experience with "normal feel" springs. I've been really impressed, I can't feel any difference whatsoever from the stock ride, no bouncy ness of any kind. Only change is that it feels so much easier to turn. There's not much wheel gap and I can still go over speedbumps easily and get in and out of my driveway with no problems." www.turboimport.com <- where you can get the Springs for $220 Shipped. My notes: The springs are advertised as a 1.5Fr and 1.0R drop. (Same as the Old silver Comptech). With this mild drop, camber is prolly not an issue. Vehicles that need camber vary car to car. The springs advertised, are said not to be more than 10% stiffer than stock, which means very close to stock ride quality. The other springs that would compare to this is the Tein High.Tech (Luxury Masters) as they advertise the same drop, but no one has posted any good reviews for those and pics. Hope this helps! |
As a side note, I and others appreciate Mr. Fusion posting pics of these springs, for one, no one else has them as far as I know, two, not many people knew about them before Mr.Fusion posted them, three he was kinda enough to post lots of pics and include a small mini review! Thumbs up!
|
^ as he said, thanks to Mr Fusion. Very informative.
|
MrFusion...I guess there are a few more things to help myself and others out.
1. Since pics are a hard way to determine drop "in reality", could you tell us about how many fingers you can fit into the front and rear fenders between the top part of the tire to the edge of the fender? (On a LEVEL surface) (finger method seems to be the most visual way people use) 2. Do you have before springs and after springs pics to show the drop? ( i think this will help us determine the actual drop visually since it gives us a point of comparison.) Just to let some of you know the Mr.Fusion's tires and wheels 235/40/18 is about the same DIAMETER as the stock 215/50/17 CL-S tires and wheels. Thanks!! |
oops, my bad....somehow, i missed the whole upper half of this thread! pics looks nice....probably just missed the whole 2nd page here.
thanks! |
sweet...very clean!
|
only one with them i think...
|
Mr.Fusion, do you happen to know what the offset of the wheels are? I dont recall seeing it in the thread anywhere.

fuck what quality shots. It's like each one was mandated by the heavens to be crisp, clear, and sharp.
Oh yea, the CL ain't too bad either   Someone mentioned that in the first set of pics they couldn't tell where the well ended/tire began - I couldn't either! -Alex |
