Thanks, the drop is about 1.5''.

ccannizz11 02-10-2005 09:26 AM

Very nice  great pics

goldmemberer 02-10-2005 10:10 AM

Very nice. What kinda camera did you use/what resolution? Looks either like the camera was really good or you scaled it down a bunch.

Car is hot too, the rims fit perfectly. The drop isn't slammed or anything, but it's classy.

Thanks, the camera is a Canon Powershot G3.

This was my first experience with "normal feel" springs. I've been really impressed, I can't feel any difference whatsoever from the stock ride, no bouncy ness of any kind. Only change is that it feels so much easier to turn. There's not much wheel gap and I can still go over speedbumps easily and get in and out of my driveway with no problems.

Mr.Fusion 02-10-2005 10:52 AM

Oops and the pics are resized from 2272x1704

Tulanian 02-10-2005 11:30 AM

Gorgeous car, gorgeous pictures.

Your pictures look like stills from some spy movie:

SCENE 111: The Master Villan steals into the abandoned parking garage at midnight, gliding silently in his intimidating black car, on his way to pick up the suitcase full of... :D

phipark 02-10-2005 11:46 AM

wheels look good and the drop is perfect. Where did you get the springs by chance?

The fogs are the PIAA 19224, headlights are standard, looking to upgrade soon.

Mr.Fusion... Do you have any close up pics with good lighting of your car? Im curious about your drop. I just wanna see more pics so i can see the gaps.

The site http://www.turboimport.com/catalog/acura_cl_tl.htm shows that those springs are 1.5fr and 1.0r which is the same as the "old" comptechs. If additional pics are given I may order these springs!

I would also like to see that

Dark8 02-13-2005 10:57 PM

Are those stock light bulbs for the headlights?

Mr.Fusion 02-13-2005 11:17 PM

Yes the headlight bulbs are stock, it's probly just the image cooling in photoshop that's making them appear more blue.

01bluecls 02-14-2005 12:47 AM

LOL, crap! Your car is black, and the second set of pics you posted I cant tell where the top of the tire starts and how much gap you have between the top of tire and fenders! :)

I guess if you dont have any more pics up close of the wheel gaps...
What size tires are you running on your 18's?
How big are the fender gaps in the front and rear, how many fingers, estimated inches etc?

Sorry for the questions and all, but im deciding between these and the H&R Sport Drop. I feel the sport drop maybe too low for me, these Tanabe's may be my answer to a old comtech like drop i have been looking for! :)

Maybe these can give you a better idea. The tires are 235/40/18

The last 2 pics where taken on a slight incline in front of my house, so it may appear just a little higher.

01bluecls 02-14-2005 10:56 AM

Thanks!!! Great pics. Just what im looking for!

gingerbread 02-14-2005 11:38 AM

PDX3.2TL 02-14-2005 01:34 PM

Nice. The drop is definatly noticeable. how do the springs ride? stiff? soft?

Here ya go :) Unless Mr.Fusion wants to add anything.

01bluecls 02-14-2005 07:05 PM

I guess i might get these springs....This thread is the only review/post with pics that I have seen for the Tanabe's but they look like the springs im looking for. They look almost perfect. The H&R's Sport drop worry me just a little around my roads....plus i think im just being a puss about them :(

HellaShookOne 02-14-2005 10:16 PM

I wish someone could post some pix with the tein luxury master springs I want to compare

01bluecls 02-14-2005 10:18 PM

me too!!!!! :(

dele6214 02-15-2005 11:07 PM

How much do new springs cost, and do they void the warranty, Either way SICK CAR

MarbleGT 02-16-2005 12:02 AM

what kinda wheels are those? lookn sweet man

kev 02-16-2005 12:24 AM

 Your car is absolutely beautiful... That combo of springs and wheels gives the car a nice balance of aggressiveness and class. Did those springs introduce any camber issues or uneven tread wear on the tires?
