what a nice thanksgiving day sniffing epoxy.
currently i just spread the glue along the top edge. once this cures i will be able to adjust the "flare" of the skirt to match the front lip. with the cold weather i was forced to move operations indoors and only got to complete one side. tomorrow after work i'll get the other side glued up. weekend game plan is to fill the center portion where i removed about 1" and flush the ends up. the top edge will also take some sanding to make it fit against the car body.
second verse same as the first

my car went to the paint shop last week, i have a brand new 03 TL front lip i wanted to get installed, but the estimate for the paint was so high i didn't bother asking themt to have it custom installed. i don't know if i should feel sorry for not having it installed or feel good i saved the money (just bought a 32 000 sq-ft piece of land).
your project will look awsesome when you'll be done !

I envy your hard work and determination in this project...not a huge fan of kits but I think by the time it is done it will look absolutely tits. The fact that you won't see another CL (except maybe 1 hehe) with this kit really sets it off....if the rest of your car compliments the work you'll have done on this lip kit, it should get a magazine feature..kudos!

ok first mistake i see is that you guys used bondo to finish everything. which is wrong your supposed to use glazing. after your done with that you prime it.... as for the rest of paint (green) should be scuffed.

there is "flexible bondo" since the side skirt it wont flex much in the first place. as for the front lip it would flex a bit more, but i doubt it will do any damage. it might if u hit a curb or something.
i'd think the sideskirt is slightly easier to do than the front. the rear seems a bit harder to do. i was thinking of doing splats for the rear, but not sure it would look as nice as the whole rear kit. i'm planning to start my own project for winter break. i have 22 days =D

the side skirt is less layout and locating but more work cutting, gluing, filling and so on. i figured the rear is going to be a lot like the front. 22days! good luck.

out with the bondo and hellooooooo poly flex!
basically this stuff is flexible bondo. met a guy that does body work and has informed me on the correct methods. basically everything is done correctly except the bondo part. so i'm working on sanding that out and picking up some poly flex tomorrow.
"this sheeit right here!"
