I'm getting both tail lights tinted on Monday... I don't know much about this stuff.. is there a percentage I should tell them? and should I get just the top half tinted or the whole thing?

As I said before, I get my 14832's on Wednesday, then rims and a drop. THEN I'll start work on beast under the hood and the little circles that we call speakers.

It'll look sooo much better than tinting the top half. It looks stupid if you tint the tops. Just my opinion.

What's the point of ruining a perfectly good set of '03 tails by tinting the clear part? That's why people buy the '03s is for the half clear. It looks so much better than the '01s. I think do the opposite of everyone else and do the bottom halfs.

if you owned a CL two years ago -- shouldn't you know that HIDs in the fogs are impossible unless you use a completely different housing?

fyi.. i got all of my windows tinted at 5%.. unless your state is an odd difference, youre illegal with the back being 5% regardless of what your front is.. Its that way here in bama.. My advice, change the front to 5%.. youll love it.... the difference is night and day,, The tl i had before my cl, i ad the set up u have now.. Trust me,, Change it.. Your driving a car that cops dont look for as far as the tint thing goes.. As long as u dont paint it lime green and put lambo doors on it of course.. U can see how mine looks in the photo gallery.. If u want lore pics lemme know.. I also have 50% on my windshield along with a 5% strip.. make it feel like a cockpit at noght and takes no time to cool the interior down during the day,,, Lemme know how the tinting in your tails comes out after u detail it the first time.. its the next thing I wanna do..

word... hopefully youll be as lucky as I have been regarding the blue lighters.. knock on my fake ass burlwood.. In that respect, the setup u have is very adequate and looks nice.. were both lucky cause black and white r the best colors for the contrast with tint.. If u can fade the 50% on the windshield, it makes a difference on the inside of the car, but u cant tell its tinted from the outside.. First time ive ever put tint that low on a windshield, but I am impressed by what it does.. I really dont need to use a sunscreen when its parked outside,,, anyway, car looks good, and good luck with the modding.. HOV!!

Damn, I just saw this thread.
Your car looks good with the tinted windows but I'm scared to see it after the taillight tint.
If I were you, I would have done the top of the tails. It looks so much cleaner if you ask me. If you wanted to know what it looked like first, you should have searched for pics of NiteQwill's car. His are exactly like that, and yes, it's an '03 too. AND his car is white, just like yours. Why didn't anyone fill this guy in on that!?

Well, it's not bad, I must admit. I would definitely debadge now though. It would look cleaner.
Like I said though, doing the top looks really good IMHO. I hope NiteQwill doesn't mind but I'm gonna barrow a pic of his for comparison. I think the tint on top looks great.
Thanks, NiteQwill!

I know it looks good, but I'm proud of my 03 damnit!
And also, I like how the tail light tint matches the limo tint on the windows and the clear top 1/2 of the tail light goes along with the white body.

Much better. Reminds me to finally make my appt. and take the stupid mud guards off. I would have done the windshield too, atleast 6".
I wouldnt touch the tails at all. I love the led pattern of them, nice and bright.
If you absolutly have to, I would only tint the bottoms.
