Got new Pirelli PZero Nero Tires (pics)

Quick Summary:

I replaced my worn out Toyo T1-S Proxes 245/40ZR-17 tires with new Pirelli PZero Nero 235/45ZR-17 tires. The Pirellis are not as sticky as the toyos but they are quieter (toyos are about 10% grippier). The wet weather performance is not as good as the toyos either (again, toyos are about 10% better). But I will say that the dry and wet are still VERY VERY good, better than most other tires I've tried, but the toyos remain king...

Here are the pics, enjoy and feel free to ask me any questions:

As they came from tirerack.com...

The sticker that was on the tires when I got them...

Changing the tires...

All mounted and cleaned...

Final picture of my car with the new tires...

Thanks, they are sweet rims... I wanted to get the 18s but the offset wasn't enough for me to get 235/245 without rubbing, so I stuck with 17s, I should have just gotten the 18s.

I"m thinking about picking up a set of these tires too...do you think the difference in grip might be partially because they are 10mm less wide?

Did you have any problems fitting the big 245s on your car?

No. I had 235 Toyo T1-S proxes before my 245s and they were just as grippy as the 245s. The Pirelli P-Zero Nero are definitely not as sticky. But, that's not to say they are not sticky. You have to realize that the toyos have insane grip, I'm very happy with the Pzero Neros... and the difference between the two isn't that much. 5-10% like I said...
