Acura couldn't have been more accurate with the name of that color. Your car really does look like silk

Thanks buddy! I was going to say the same thing....1/2" more would be perfect for me. But the way it is now i can get in/out of my driveway no problem.

Got the dinoc...cool stuff. Trial and error and a few youtube videos and i'm getting the hang of it. Did the back of my cell for practice.

ok, since winter never came here, i'm going to order the parts to do my valve adjustment. so far i have:

valve cover gaskets
new o-ring for the s/c bracket
I have the outlaw thermo gaskets to install (IM & TB)
New TB gasket
New PCV valve (might as well)
EGR gasket
Going to clean the intake manifold too while its off.

I need to grab some feeler gauges. Anything else i'm missing?

The only thing I can think of is the valve cover gaskets, depending on the condition of originals.

If possible, once you have it all together, can you post a picture of the blower intake elbow as it hooks up to the lower blower outlet?

It would be interesting to see how much of an offset the Outlaw IM thermo gasket causes in relation to the silicon coupler connection at the lower blower outlet.

I might invest in a set if it all looks reasonable.

Thanks.

ya no problem. i'm not sure if the outlaw gaskets are too thick to throw the alignment off. We'll see.

I also have most of the silver dash trim off and replaced it with dinoc. Don't mind the shift boot.

i love the idea of wrapping the dinoc over all the plastic pieces in the front center console. really sets off the interior!

The carbon fiber i used was 3M dinoc. The silver bits were on the car when i got it. I'm not sure how far i'm going to go with the dinoc. Depends on how the silver trim comes off. It was leaving a residue i couldn't get off, so i had to wrap it in something again.

By chance, did you ever get to install that Outlaw IM thermo gasket on the S/C'er?

Not yet. I have the blower off and manifold is almost off. I'm off for two months soon then I'll tackle everything. I'll post picks like you asked.
I have the aftermarket ballasts in and need to put the xlr8 mounts in next.

That's what I figured and was worried about. It's the offset that had me questioning the investment in these spacers.

Even at the throttle body end, you could probably make it work; however, the need for aftermaker couplers and properly angled tubing would need to be experimented with to keep clear of the ABS sensor plug on the shock tower.

StreetKA, you would'nt happen to have a picture buried somewhere of your former set-up with the OL spacer installed?

side mount in today...pretty easy to do. I'll try the front this weekend hopefully. Side looked a little rough, but not too bad.

The front was a bitch the first time I did it.

It helps to unfasten the tranny mounts so you can jack the motor up a bit easier/higher.

i'm nervous about the mounts, but we'll see how they hold up. I'd really rather not have to pull the blower out in another few months to swap them back to oem. Seems you and Street who are running more power then most had them doughnut.

Got the valves adjusted yesterday. Once i did one, it was super easy. The hardest part was laying over the car to get to the rear exhaust valves. New gaskets and PVC and it's back together....minus the charger.

Valve covers looked pretty clean:

Back together:
