Front Grille

Since everyone has been going ga-ga over front mesh grilles. I finally got a chance to make the one I wanted. I'll get better pictures due to bad lighting plus I'm contemplating on spraypainting it to a dark metallic color.

Where'd you get the mesh?

I have 2 other cars I'd like to do & don't feel like paying $300 for $10 worth of metal.

did mine last night, turned out great. I mounted it once like yours, then took it off and attached the A. I think it looks better with the A on, but without the wing type things on the sides.

I just got some gutter guard type stuff from home depot for 15 bucks. Personally I like it better than a lot of the stuff people are ordering...looks nice without drawing too much attention. I'll try to put a pic up soon...if I can figure out how.

how did you mount up the grill after you put the mesh on? Did you use the black piece behind the grill?

Sorry guys, I haven't checked this forum for awhile.

Here is the info on what I ordered through McMaster Carr. It is a rather large sheet. I'd recommend getting larger diameter holes because these are a bit on the small side.

9232T131 - Aluminum Perforated Sheet 36" X 40", .1875" Hole Dia, 51% Open Area, .032" Thk $27.61

As for mounting it, I used the black piece that use to hold the Acura "A" to support the mesh.

you should of put black mesh on your white CL it would look sick with those blacked headlights

so wait, is the "wing" still behind the mesh along w/ that black plastic crap? or is that completely taken out? Because I've seen some guys just put the mesh over the wing or whatever and in certain angles you can see through and see the wing, and I don't think it looks too good.

I think it looks best with the original chrome border, especially on a black cl. The little accents of chrome really make the car tasteful.

uhh his CL is a 2003 model, they dont have the front grille chrome border, other ways you can tell is that his headlights are blacked out and i'm sure his taillights have a clear top to them
