front bumper paint pics

I got my car back from the bodyshop and wanted to see what you guys thought of how i did the paint scheme. I had the bottom grille part painted silver, vents painted silver with the backing removed then used mesh painted black at the back. I also painted the wing on the upper grill silver and put an emblem off a nsx on. The emblem has a nice graphite/gunmetal look to it.

I did the same to my ABP a couple years ago. I never liked how the fog light holes look like there was something missing. Its even more apparent on light colored cars. I had them paint the mesh behind the fake fogs though.

I wish my bumper was still as chip free as this picture.

thnx for the replies guys. I can understand ppl not liking the emblem, but i like it. As for cost its usually around 300-350 i think. I had to get my bumper blasted by a seperate shop first from being painted inproperly before, then had to pay for the vents and wing also so it ran me around 500.

another idea for the front grill/emblem would be to leave the stock A emblem chrome and paint the back circle behind it silver like i saw a few others have done.

reason i painted is because one of them was scraped so i painted them instead of buying a new pair. I was worried it might look weird but i like it alot.

im thinking about adding a clear bra to the bumper and hood from www.xpel.com. It is precut for the cl. They are pretty pricey but probably worth it.

I thought about a clear bra, but if the bumper ever got cracked or significant damage then you'd lose the clear bra.

looks good, especially that emblem in the middle and the silver straight bar. Great idea on the vents too!

I just think those vertical lines should have been left black on a silver car.

I agree. If the lower grille "grating" were left black it would have matched the depth of the upper grille better. But it still looks good.

alpine iva-d300 been in car for 7 years now not a single problem

mounted the remote on the trim panel, the lines flow perfect with the dash

voodoo titanium shift knob. For the shift boot ring i took the connector off a jdm integra shift boot dremeled out the opening to make it right size for the knob then painted it flat black.

autovation pedals dirty covered with salt. these have been in for around 6 years and still holding up great. look much better clean tho.

damn, all that wild life in one day, thats pretty cool. Gotta watch the kids around those animals, those deer can be pretty violent.

Looks like you got quite a few mods to install, take your time doing it so you won't get bored of them to quickly.

yes it is a direct bolt on. I bought a dc5 integra wheel with airbag for 375. I sold the airbag cause it had the red honda emblem and was single stage for 175. The wheel i bought was from a show car that was driven only 8k miles so i was willing to pay for one in mint condition. I then bought a 03 rsx type s wheel with airbag and cruise control unit for 145. I took the airbag and cruise control unit and hooked that up to the dc5 momo wheel. The 02-06 rsx airbag will fit this wheel(dc5), the ep3 wheel, rsx wheel, or s2000 wheel. The rsx airbag is a 2 stage airbag also. So in the end the wheel plus airbag will cost me around 350.

the pics arent all from the same day. You can see the date stamped on the pics. No little kids to worry about just a little 4 lb dog and my cl. Dont wanna hit those deer they are everywhere. Yea I have a huge amount of mods to install gonna take me months. I only really did shocks and springs, and a headunit with speakers no sub in the first 7 years of owning the car. Now that the car is finally paid off I think I am going mod crazy.

that is actually the front yard, but yea we didnt even know at the time they were laying eggs. When i was walking by a few weeks or months later I found an egg sticking up. When I looked closer I found a few babies still with a round sac attached to their stomach. I found a few dead babies which was kinda sad. I dont think they chose the best area to lay the eggs. ALso those turtles had to climb a pretty steep hill to get there must have been a rough workout. There are animals all over since the house is built on the edge of a forest preserve. The bad part about it is mice infestation problems and beavers chopping down trees
