I guess I did some photochop for ya a while back.
I like those tips and think that they work quite well but it's just not my taste..since they look somehow little out of place to me. BTW, they look unique and I still like them better than HKS/Apexi exhaust tips (I just think they are a little too big for our CLs and I always like those rolled tips over straight ones)
Good job!

Yo, da sheeeit looks mad sick! Lovin da look.

I need to hook my sheeeit up but i'm kinda stuck on what exhaust, headers, intake and springs to get. There's so much out there and I wanna hook up my "whip" sick.

yeah they do look a little like the cl5 tips I think it would look better if you turned them the other way

and have the bottom part curving upwards? I don't think that would look too great. Plus, as I previously mentioned, they're welded on.

Hey Dem1K, I think that they look really good. I've got to give you credit for trying something new and it actually turned out pretty damn nice. I would try to get the right tip up a little higher if at all possible. It doesn't look too bad, but I am a perfectionist with my car and that would drive me nuts.

looks good. I don't know about flipping them upside down like the other guy said, but what about flipping the sides. I don't know if that would work, but it seems the larger portion would fill up the angle of the factory cutouts better if the left side was on the right, and the right side was on the left.

Just an idea. anyways, thumbs up for trying something new

yeah man I hear you on that...it's driving me nuts. Right now it's raining so I'll wiat 'til it calms down to fix that. I'm a bit pissed that they're welded on, because I basically can't fix it...PERIOD. But hey, I guess I'll have to live with it.

Oscar, when I went to have em put on, I had them try that, but the way that they're shaped along w/ our bumper cut outs, it wouldn't work. Thanks for the support

i think if you switched them, it would flow a lot better. it looks like they're on backwards. i know that they're welded on, but maybe if u just switched the exhausts? i dunno...here check out the photoshop i did...

Good effort for trying something new.

I like samir's combination better or just the 03 tips will do.

I know this off topic but is there a different in sound with a CL-P mufflers and CL-S mufflers? I was driving yesterday and I came across an 03 CL and the tone just sounds really didn't than mines. The other CL was stock btw.

Dem1k, u said the shop couldn't do that earlier. That PS is what I was trying to tell you to do. Both of them look great...the PS and the real deal.

You can't just swap one muffler from right to left or left to right. The pipes in the back of the mufflers both curve towards the middle of the car. If you switched them the pipe would curve towards the wheel wells and the B-pipe wouldn't bolt up at all.

correct...

Well, I went to another shop (whom I USUALLY go to, but I didn't like a dipshit) and I shopped him the picture of the PS. Then he looked at my car and was like "what the fuck did those guys do?" LoL anyways, he told me there is pretty much no room to cut these tips off and switch em, or else he'd have to cut through the tips themselves *fuck no*. He said to come by tomorrow and he'll see what he can do to help me out. I'll keep you all updated, and hopefully with good news.

I personally dont like them at all. Not trying to be mean, but all your attention is distracted to the top of the tips and how it isnt lined up with the cutout. When i look at the back of your car thats all i see. I would like it better left alone, or with the 03 tips. Even Samirs ps isnt bad. I was looking at the new mercedes sl 500 and those tips would probably work much better because they are oval shaped.

mrsteve: oh, i see...well i wasnt sure if you could or not.
Dem1k: good luck. hopefully that new shop can do something about it.

ok well, I had the guy do the best he could as to fixing the alignment. Again, these things are welded, so he had to basically bend the hanger a little bit and this is all he could do. I'm debating about getting the 03 tips and selling these in the Black Market, not sure yet. It was all just an experiment. Here are some updated pics:

John, I may be getting a catback soon (if for some odd reason I don't wanna get a S/C haha call me weird...), I'll be glad to sell you my 03 mufflers for cheap man.

yea here's my comment: don't do it...reason being, they're way too wide, and will not even fit in the cut-out. You'll just kick yourself in the end

Dustin, PM me and we'll talk
