I am about to get a CL type-s- Nav. -- What should I look out for when purchasing these vechiles???

Wow not to shabby a stable you got going on over there. What year CL are you looking to get?

definitely get manual trans., otherwise not too much to look at.

 

I'm also in the market for a 01 CL, but after reading here numerous threads about tranmission problems, I'm really scared now. Before I was really divided, but now I'm leaning more towards the 03 Accord EX V6.... What do you guys thing, I really loved the CL but won’t be able to sleep a night thinking that my transmission could go at any time…

ur best bet is to find one w/ a warranty.. i bought my 01 few months ago from acura and got it covered till 100,000 miles.

 

i wouldn't worry so much about the transmission.... i personally have 3 friends who drive CLs, and there hasn't been anything even remotely wrong with the trannies... just that for some reason ppl on this board are particularly lucky..


what to look for: RATTLES, RATTLES, RATTLES..
center console, the area right underneath the windshield, moonroof, the wood trim, doors, etc.

find a good stretch of bumpy/shakey road and drive along it

 

Go for the 6 speed manual (2003) Type S - great transmission, good handling out of the box...
