I love those rims, especially on your car (which is black).

I don't care how rare my ABP is, I'd rather have it black !!!

Thanks for the great comments guys. The real cool thing about them is how they look so different in different lighting conditions.

rims look awesome. The CL is one car that does not do well with a front license plate.

Yep, haven't put mine on yet, and don't think I will until a fellow officer obliges me to!

YUP! I have hyper black wheels as well and it's like you get the best of all finishes, sometimes they look black, sometimes silver, sometimes graphite

I hear ya. Chicago cops don't bother you. It's the suburban cops that hassle you. I had a MARKVIII before this car with no plate and always got pulled over. This car I had the dealer put on without drilling holes and only attaching the bottom screws. Then I put a small strip of that thick clear 3M clear guard to protect the top part from rubbing the shit out of the bumper. If I ever wanted to I could take it off with no holes to show.

Very nice set-up. I'm interested in seeing some rolling highway shots just to see them spinning.

Hyperblack rims on black CLs

Hot ride man, real hot. I saw those hyperblack rims on your black CLs earlier today. They look so hot on your car I just had to order me a set for my ride. As soon as they come in and I get em on I'll post some pics. I'll use the 225/40/18 Yokohama Parada's on my current wheels as they have only had about 6 mths continuous use. Let me reiterate man, your ride is awesome.

I'm glad I could be of inspiration to you. You'll definitly enjoy them and you too Silvercl97 if you get them. The lower offset gives the car a nice wide stance. Where are you buying from? I asked Motegi who they would recomend and they said Sears. I went there and they are expensive. Went to my usual speed shop and got the wheels and lugs for about $150 cheaper.

I know you already told me when you e-mailed me the pics but I can't find it Anyhow what size are they (18 X ???) and what is the offset? Have you had any problems with rubbing, and what type of drop do you have?
Thanks again.

18X7.5 w/45 offset. I have the TEIN ss coilovers at about a 2'' drop. No rubbing issues. I do though have about a -1 to -1.5 degree negative camber in the back and -.5 in the front. You can see this in the extreme side view that you hosted for me. I know if my backs were at 0 camber they would probably rub without rolling the fender. The front is fine. I do get a bad bang once in awhile from the fronts over certain railroad tracks do to being too low and having the SPC camber adjustable ball joints. they stick up about an 1 1/2" on top of the a arm and slam into the bottom of my shock tower. This also happened with my stock rims so it's directly related to the drop and not the rims. Hope this answers your ?'s, if not post again and I would be more than happy to answer.

Hyperblack = glossy grey/black

Dark black = black or if you mean: gunmetal

I'm looking at the Motegi DPK in hyperblack for my white CL-S...I'm still not sure.

Any thoughts about the hyperblack on a white car?

They look fantastic on Louie11's car.
