03 CLS Rear Lens w/ the clear trim on a 01 CLS

Is it possible to get the factory 03-CLS rear lens and stick it on a 01-CLS without any customizations?

I really like that clear/white trim at the top of the lights in the rear.

Help!

I know it's possible with the TL's, I have a friend with a 99' TL that put the 03' TL rear lens on with no problems...I haven't taken a look at the specs for the CL's but it should work...you might want to double check though.

I heard the socket for the lights doesn't fit perfectly and you need to tape it on or order new sockets.... that is what i found out from the general discussion area.

I just want the lens cover w/ the white trim at the top. The housing and everything should be pretty much identical, no?

Umm, there are 5 sockets on each of the tail lights. Of those 5, one doesn't fit properly. A little electrical tape will do the job just fine until I get the correct harness. Here is a pic of what I ended up doing.

You can't just buy the plastic lens if that's what you're asking. You have to buy the whole tailight, as mantis23 is showing you.

You're right, once you get the correct socket (as what I did), it will fit perfectly. You'll also need two new amber bulbs..wont cost you more then $3.

The socket part # is this: 33503-S3M-A11 (You will need two). You can order from your local Acura Dealer. I just installed the sockets & there were no wires to cut. All you have to do is unplug your current wiring from the old socket & plug the new socket. That's it!!! It took all of about 5 minutes...
